Forgive my brain-deadness, please...is the whole BW resort DVC or just the Villa section? Inquiring minds would like to know.

thanks!

Hi, RoLaren!

Only the Boardwalk Villas are DVC; the Boardwalk Inn is not.

Enjoy! :)

The Boardwalk has a villa section for DVC and a Bordwalk Inn section, so it's not all DVC.

Thanks everyone, that's kinda what I thought but I wanted to be sure. Boy, would I love to plan a romantic long weekend getaway for my next anniversary there with my sweet DH...(gears turning) LOL

Looks like a gorgeous resort! If you've stayed there, what are your favorite things about it? For me, I think the proximity to Epcot and the Studios would be a huge plus and also, it looks so pretty at night. I've never stayed there before so that's a draw too...

thanks again for the info!

Both the Villas side and Inn side share the same check in registration area. The Inn side does remind me of a hotel a bit more than the villas side but you'll have to walk down the corridors of both to see the differences (look at the carpet by the elevators on the Villas side).

Favorite things - everything about them is wonderful but overall the feeling of staying there. I stayed in Studio #5065 and had a great view of the main courtyard and part of the Boardwalk. It was the feeling of forgetting about the outside world that was the best here. You were emersed all the time in the Boardwalk. There were families and children abound having fun all over the place, it was nice to just sit and relax on the balcony and watch it. The outside world just didn't exist for the 7 days that we were there. You'll have a great time and you may want to think about renting points from a DVC memeber for your next stay there.

You're right -- the proximity to Epcot and Studios is a HUGE bonus. Aside from that some of our favorite things about BWI & BWV is:
* the Boardwalk
* the Boardwalk area is BEAUTIFUL at night. We love walking around the lake and through the BC & YC area, as well.
* We're close to DH's favorite late-night snack -- Kimonos!
* I love the theming of the Boardwalk. The colors, furniture fabrics, carousels, etc. It's just my style and reminds me of our trips to NJ when I was a child.
