A Pre Thanksgiving/Christmas Vacation, Our First Split Stay & Our 5th Trip to Disney!

Glad he had a great party!! Eight is such a sweet little boy age!!! My boys crack me up! they are so REAL!!! And, of course, they LOOOOOVE their mammas!!!!!

Thanks for the info Wendy! I am secretly hoping for a magical upgrade at OKW since we are only staying for 2 nights. It seems that the shorter your stay the better the chances are for an upgrade. At least that's what I hear, I've never actually gotten an upgrade! :rotfl:

Thats exactly what happened to us... we were there for the food and wine festival for DD birthday... she had always wanted to stay at AKL but I just can't justify the prices for a deluxe when we are gone to the parks all day ... but I got a great deal... it was around $150 for the night so I went ahead and did two nights there.... in a standard room... then they upgraded us at check in.... :yay:

looks like they were all having a great time!!!

I wouldn't have a CLUE how to deal with eight boys! :worship: Glad it went well!

Thanks! :grouphug: They did have a great time!

As we were sitting by the pool watching them swim and listening to all the noise I said to DH - this really isn't much different that any other day!! :rotfl:We seem to be the house that the neighborhood kids end up at all the time. So we always have extra boys here!

Happy 8th Birthday to your little man! Glad the party went so well! :bday:

BTW- I still love that pic on your wall! Glad it made it to the new house when you moved! :thumbsup2

great PTR shelly... just started reading..... i can't believe i missed this.... well back to studying for my exams will read the rest later on....

Hey shelly- great pics of the party! How fun! And yes- boys are sooooo different. Fun, but different.

Drew isn't a rough kid-- I think it's b/c he's sandwiched btwn his sisters. But man- there's nothing like how a boy loves his mama.:goodvibes

Thanks JO!

Be glad Drew isn't rough. No matter how big our house is I have 2 boys that always have to be right on top of each other wrestling and carrying on ALL THE TIME! :scared1:

And yes, they are both mama's boys! More-so DS7 anymore. DS10 is just growing up too fast. :sad2:

Thanks Lisa! :goodvibes Yes, I know. Hawaiian Pirates. What the heck is that anyway??? :rotfl:

Well we are just having the craziest weather here! I knew we would have to pay for all that great weather we were having last week and the week before and the week before that. PA just doesn't get that much good weather all at once! :rotfl:

It rained pretty much all day Saturday. And Saturday night. And into Sunday morning. By 12:30 yesterday it was still raining and the soccer board decided to cancel all of the in-house games (ages 9 and under). I wasn't sure why. We normally play in the rain, unless it starts to thunder or something like that. I guess they figured that the fields would be a mess since we had so much rain for such a long period. So, DS7's game was cancelled. I knew they wouldn't cancel DS10's travel game. He had a home game at 3:30. When we got there it wasn't even raining and the fields were just fine. I wish they wouldn't have cancelled DS7's game, it was for 4:30. It did end up raining for about 15 minutes during the game, but nothing major. DS10 had an awesome game with 2 goals and 2 assists! :cheer2: The best he's played this year. And they won something like 9-0. I felt bad for the other team. They were like us last week when we lost 5-0. But some of their kids were nasty and swearing at our kids because they were mad they were losing so bad. :sad2:So that made it hard to feel too bad for them.

It was raining hard this morning at the bus stop. And it is crazy WINDY out there now! I had to go out and get my patio umbrella off of the second floor deck and it is very heavy and I have a hard time unhooking it from the post because I am so short. When I finally released it I thought I was going to go flying away with it! :rotfl: Now the sun comes out from time to time, then it gets dark and rainy. Then sunny again. Crazy!

I'm having that same kind of weather right now. When I took Maddie to school this morning it was pouring. A few hours later, it looked like the sun wanted to come out. Now, it's raining like crazy again and the rain sounds like it's going to blow down my house! I hope the winds die down before I have to pick Maddie up from school!

It's so windy now that I'm really hoping we don't lose power!

Hi Shelly! I can't believe I just found you! Have only gotten thru a few pages, but loving the report so far. Here's my random thoughts:;)
1.) the first warm pbj I ever had was when my neice got one at EOS. I'd never heard of it, but I fell in love...:lovestruc
2.) for Illuminations we have a spot outside Germany. There's a place that juts out a bit, and we stake it out about an hr early. Shh...don't tell anyone else.
3.) let me know what you do for CS at DHS~I've sworn off Pizza Planet, too!
4.) We'd never seen the parade at MGM, so our boys really like the Block Party Bash. We've been very lucky to be right in the middle of the action both times we've seen it, and the boys have both gotten a bouncy ball that they shoot out! Free stuff always makes it that much better!!
5.) Check out Nemo the musical if you can. We saw it for the first time in January, and it was awesome! Haven't seen FOTLK yet, that's next on our agenda!!

That's all I can remember for now! Hopefully I'll have some time at home to catch up on the rest of the PTR!

Went to Walmart this morning. Why is it that every time I walk in that place to "pick up a few things" I end up coming out of there with a full shopping cart and $100 poorer? :confused3

I did get a few things for the trip! Just some snacks and stuff.

Hey Jenny! :goodvibes Welcome to my PTR!

Oh no, another warm pb&j lover! :upsidedow

Thanks for the IllumiNations tip! :thumbsup2 I'll be sure to let you know what CS we end up at in DHS.

Yesterday the weather people were predicting 16-18 foot waves on the lake for today. I thought "No way." But I just talked to MIL (who lives on the lake) and she said it's crazy out there. I'm gonna drive by after I get the girls from school!

We're in a clear patch right now, but there's a lot more crap coming. :sad2:

Don't know how I missed your PTR - three weeks later I found you!! Now I've gotten up to page three and will have to go back and read!

Nice stash of stuff! I like Pringles!

Wow this wind thing is pretty wide spread - MI, NY, and PA! :faint:

The wind is still blowing like crazy here. DS10 has soccer practice. DH took him. DS7 and I are here eating leftover birthday cake! :cake:

The boys love to take Pringles to Disney! :confused3 I guess because I don't usually buy them. They are known as our Disney chips! :rotfl:
