We were all ready for the party and about 2:30p Judy went to pick up her best friend from work to bring her here !! She gets a call froma HYSTERICAL Kyle 
He has fallen off his electric bike and hurt himself well she picks him up and looks at the HOLE in his abdomen and almost passes out She did 70 going to the ER rushed in and told them she needed help NOW by the time she parked they had him in a cubicle stripped off and were trying to set up an IV!!Catscan was ordered as they feared he had punctured organs !!Well he hadn't !!
Thank goodness he is a stocky kid !! But what saved him was A) he had on his helmet so no head trauma and B) his jean short zipper which is mangled absorbed some of the impact!!!The surgeon stiched him up with 15 stitches , cleaned out a deep knee wound but decided against stitches , the kid has more gauze on him than skin showing !!But he is home and while hurting and upset that he is house bound till Thursday , OKAY!!!!
Before I reply I have to let you know the DRAMA of this afternoon!!!

Oh my goodness, Rosie!!! What a scare for you all - but poor Kyle. Is he in much pain? It sounds very painful. gentle hugs to him and sending prayer for a speedy recovery.

Oh My Goodness Rosie. I am glad he is Okay except for all the gauze and stitches and knee wound and being house bound.
All I can say is... BOYS. They scare the life out you. In my case it is my girl that scares the life out of me and is responsible for every gray hair!!!
But I have no hairs left to turn grey as they all are already!!!!
He could win an oscar this morning for the performance he is giving of "POOR ME"!!Judy and I just look at each other and grin !!!

I'm so glad to hear Kyle will recover with no serious side effects. Not only are boys good at "milking it", but big boys (men) are even worse.
Rosie, so sorry to hear about Kyle, but glad it wasn't more serious than it was. BOYS LOVE to milk attention -- they are worse than women with their "ooh, but I hurt." The birthday party looks great and I ALWAYS knew that Rosie was on the BALL!

I thought about you and Jo today. We made a family trip to the World War II museum in New Orleans. There is lots of video and audio at the exhibit so I saw lots of England and heard lots of English accents. It's a wonderful museum and very thought provoking.
Many of the american airbases from WW2 were around my hometown !!!Two of them at least are still operating .. Lakenheath and Mildenhall!!!
