Winter, winter, go away,
I can’t take snow for one more day!

The banks are higher than my head.
There is no path left to the shed.
The plow has blocked the mailbox in,
There’s ice atop the rubbish bin.
I think the car is out there, but
The driver’s door is frozen shut.

I haven’t seen the grass for months,
I’m sick of boots and mitten hunts.
I’m done with sleds and skates and hats,
I want shorts and baseball bats!
The kids have missed so much of school
They're in to summer classes at the pool.

Punxsutawney Phil, oh pleeeease
Vote for spring before we freeze!

Dog's lost in the snow,
can only see tail and nose.
No milk left at the store,
even a day off has become quite a bore.
Kids are stir-crazy, and mom's no better
Don't think my doormat could get any wetter.
Florida looks like a great idea
But they just say "wouldn't want to be ya!"
