I wanted to take a moment to thank you all. As an avid lurker, I gained so much information in planning my trip Jan. 8-13th. While I know point rental is controversial on these boards, I am so grateful for the opportunity we had to rent a member's points and stay at the BWV.

Just a few resort notes. We checked in around 11:30 a.m., with no wait. When we called back at 3, our room was ready, and luggage from DME had already arrived. We had a party of 6 with a 2BDR poolview room. Location was perfect! We were fairly close to the elevators without being on top of them. We were overlooking Luna Park, with a view of the few Fantasmic fireworks. For the record, we had only requested n/s poolview and were very happy that we lucked out with the other two preferred elements.

The staff was friendly, though we rarely needed them. We were left a a couple of extra towels on t & t day without asking.

The BWV rooms did show a little wear here and there, but nothing worth complaining about; overall, we were really pleased with the accomodations and the location. I loved my bed so much I've alrady put in a call to find out what it was.

Although this isn't a transportation board, the availability of options for getting to and from parks is an important part of planning. We were so happy. Admittedly, we must have had some pixie dust as we almost never had to wait for a bus or boat. We loved the ability to walk to Epcot (didn't try the walk to MGM Studios) and to take the boat. We took advantage of the proximity to other resots with transportation as well. For example, when leaving MK one day, we saw that a bus had just left so we took the YC/BC bus, got off at YC and a boat was right there to head over to BWV.

On the way out, we had not wait to check in at the airline or to check our carry ons with the Bell hop for the day.

I'm sorry this post is longer than I expected, but I was just so happy with our stay at BWV, and I wanted to share that experience with the people who helped make it special. Those of you who actively post on this board have an impact on trips taken by people you'll never meet.

I'm glad your trip went great! It's always great to hear a good report about DVC accomodations(we read way too many negative ones). I know what you mean about info from this board. I get all my disney info here, plus a whole lot more(especially from the budget board). Maybe you'll be tempted to make your own DVC purchase at some point.

Thanks for sharing your experience - glad to hear you had such a good time.

The BWV are my home resort. We last visited there in December, 2005. While there, an employee was checking all the rooms on our floor to see if they all had the new mattresses in the master bedroom. All were getting a new "pillowtop". Our unit had one and I thought it was wonderful! Yo must have had one of the new one, too. :)

I love the ability to walk to two parks - unless we are traveling with strollers or my parents, we always walk to both parks. We think it is faster and to me, waiting for a boat is harder on my legs & feet than walking.

We also had no trouble with bus transportation while we were there. Can't say we ever waited more than 5 - 10 minutes for a bus. Loved that BWV was the last stop (we shared with Swan/Dolphin). We usually got off at the Swan and walked back when we were returning from the parks.

Hope you are able to go agin soon.

Best wishes -

Glad you had a good time at BW. Watch out renting points can get you addicted. We did and are now members.
