A Pirate & Princess' Adventure! (Updated 8/9 with Pics!)

The cast:

Me, 24, Sarah, HayanYujah847 (pronounced Hi-An Yo-Ja) I’m obsessed with everything Disney! My mom thinks she is the reason I am obsessed because my parents took me for my first birthday (and again for my 4th) which started off a life long love! Eeyore is my favorite character…I used to collect everything Eeyore (I had an Eeyore bathroom, bedroom, kitchen) until moving in with my boyfriend 3 years ago. I then downsized and only collect Eeyore beanies now  Plus, I sell everything Disney on eBay as my full-time job. I also run auctions for my local animal shelter & update our animals up for adoption online.

DBf, 23, Phill, Not as into Disney as I am, but has grown to, dare I say “like” it  His favorite part about going to Disney is the food and the thrill rides (Test Track is his favorite but that may change when he rides Expedition Everest). He works in Importing/Exporting for a freight forwarding company and is studying for his Customs Broker license (Bor-ring!! ZzZz )

DBf and I have been in unmarital bliss for 4 years, 1 month We live in a suburb 5 minutes from Chicago with our three cats Kanga (named after the Pooh character), Lumpy (also named after the Pooh character) and Teenie. Aren’t they just the cutest!?

So about a month ago, the trip planning began! Since then, I have been obsessing over it. I have bought tons of Disney books (I just bought 4 new ones from Amazon today!).

I talk Disney 24/7 (I think I am getting on my friends & family’s nerves with this ). I have even been dreaming about Disney World This trip, I decided to do half the trip at Universal to please the DBf. And after doing some reading, I think I'm really going to like Universal, too.

Our last trip to Disney World was a 7 day trip during Christmastime (the BEST time to go IMHO) and we had the BEST time!

Last time, among the millions of things I bought, one was a dog shirt for my cat, Lumpy.

He got it in his stocking for Christmas but I don’t think he liked it much. When I put it on him, he just tipped over like a tree and refused to get up. So after he had laid there a couple minutes while I took some pictures,

I took it off him and he hasn’t worn it since. So note to self, no more cute outfits for the cats, they don’t like them. Although my kitty Kanga LOVES the cat mints from the pet store in Downtown Disney, so I have some excuse to go in there!

When I saw the free dining offer, I just had to jump on it for us~! I am picture crazed so expect many pictures! I am going to photograph the food this time around, too. It never occurred to me to take pix of the food until coming to the DIS boards (less then a month ago) and seeing all of the yummy food pix! And if you can’t tell…I talk a lot, write way too many details, and ramble on & on in run-on sentences!

So! We are just 3 months out now! I got the Pirates & Princess tickets

in the mail yesterday and have planned our whole itinerary (commando style for WDW, more relaxed for US). More updates to come~!!!

Did you buy the Passporter? I'm currently debating about whether I should get it or not. I have the Unofficial and have read it cover to cover and spot read it again.

My DD loves Eeyore. She actually had an Eeyore party for her first birthday. Let me tell you, that was NOT easy to find.

An Eeyore party! Sounds fun! I did buy the Passporter...and I love it. My 3 top guidebooks from my millions I bought are:

Adorable daughter! I am really looking forward to the boat. We added an extra day to our trip at the beginning & couldn't get it @ POFQ so I thought about switching to another mod. In the end, we stayed with POFQ for the boat~!! And just booked 1 night at Pop.

Slight update! I thought I would take pics of what I have so far for our trip. Well, I finished making my Countdown Chart~I got the idea from Lazidazi07's PTR! Thanks for that! 65 Days left!! 2 months will go by so quickly I think. I started the countdown at 68 days so the 3 black Mickey heads at the top have been filled in~! Yay.

So the Disney Store was having a sale and I got a bunch of shirts on sale for $2.99. 4 for DBf & 3 for me DBf actually agreed to wearing these And I ordered some other Disney shirts, etc. from the Disney Store online which should arrive today.

So this is what I have so far. I bought a cute photo album (but will probably buy a 2007 one or two once I get there, as well). I got some mini light up fans since word is that it is going to be hot! A couple of pin lanyards from our last trip to WDW. (DBf refuses to wear it but will carry it in his pocket he says ) The plastic bag is full of Disney pins~! Actually 100 of them for trading. I sell Disney things online and I have a ton of these pins in my eBay store...I got 100 WDW pins for $20 so definitely a better deal to bring them from home & trade then to buy them for $8 each there! I got my travel Connect Four...such a shame, I know! And then bought 2 gift cards for some spending money there. Hopefully I can get some more before going.

And my ears! DBf won't wear these or any kind of hat...he has spikes so he thinks they mess up his hair Well the Stitch ears are from my last trip, the Eeyore ears I bought on my trip in 2001! And the gold Minnie ears are *new* for this trip! WooHoo!

I know...I was shocked when he said he would wear the shirts! I think my Disney craziness is starting to wear him down. Last trip, he really was not into anything. This trip, he helped me pick out some ADRs, is watching some of the Travel Channel Disney shows with me, and wearing Disney shirts. WOW!

So, something is going on with the Disney Store online's sizes. I got our package of shirts, etc today. I bought one Grumpy shirt size medium for DBf and had him try it on. It was like spandex!! I always remember Disney online running big (I was even going to get him a small!)...and now they are running smaller! What's going on?!? Ah well...I'm going to return or sell it because it's definitely not going to work. So here is a pic of my loot I got from Disney today~some Cheshire Cat PJs, some shirts, some socks, slippers for me & DBf which he doesn't know about yet and some flip flops. (+ a travel toothbrush set & toothpaste hehe):

Oh! And I have to add, on my countdown chart in the corners are pics of Nala & Kiara from the Lion King. I am fostering two kittens right now for my animal shelter and named them Nala & Kiara, so that is my ode to them lol Aren't they cuties? They always steal my computer chair as soon as I get up!

Oh! And does anyone know how to edit the title of my thread? I just hate it >..< lol!

Wow! You got some really nice stuff! This is the second TR I've read where they have ordered off of DisneyShopping and it has been too small. I wonder what's going on?

DH did help with the ADRs. Well, I gave him menus from places I wanted to eat and he would choose between two or three that I was having trouble choosing from.

To change the title, just do an edit of your first post, then hit the advanced button and you should be able to change it then.

I ordered a shirt and wow it was small. They were great about refunding my $. Love the countdown calendar. I need to get one for my girls! We are headed to the World right before your trip, and love POR, never done POFQ. Thanks for sharing!

I just got home from seeing Sicko (a sneak peek!). I just loved it! Love him or hate him (I love him ) Michael Moore made an amazing movie! I swear no one even got up to use the restroom in a packed house. Afterwards, we filled out a survey regarding ourselves and the movie. The family behind me was a conservative family & were very touched by the movie...it is definitely a bipartisan issue! Go see it next weekend~!~ !

Now, back to Disney!!!

Also you can travel park to park via bus. There is park to park buses at each park. The only snag is if you are going from DTD to a park... then you have to first go to a resort to hop on a bus to one of the parks. Hope this makes sense!

I finally got around to your PTR! You guys are adorable! This is going to be a good one! I think it is so cool the stuff you do with an adoption center, I used to work at a Vet Clinic and I loved it. If I could have a zoo in my backyard, I would! Just a tiny little bit of me wants to go to Universal so I'm looking forward to hearing about that. Your countdown clock is AMAZING! I wish I would've made mine that big!

You know, on my trip in 2005, I couldn't find Eeyore ears (or maybe it was my Tigger ears...I can't remember now) ANYWHERE so I was glad I brought mine with me.

Me, too! I love all animals. DBf is allergic to dogs though (and not cats) so that's one animal I can't get. Other then that, I would love a backyard zoo! hehe

lol! I started mine 70 days out...which I know, is a long ways...but I'm just way too excited!

They read my question on the Dis Unplugged today. And they had serious issues saying my screen name! Now if they would have just read my PTR they would have seen my pronunciation help. lol. Too funny! But yay I get a Dis Unplugged T-Shirt. Definitely going to rock that on my next trip!

In any case, you and your DBF seem like soooo much fun! Too bad we will not be in WDW the same time or I would say we should meet for lunch! I love how you post pics of all your new stuff- I do the same thing! lol!

This trip is me and my DBFs second trip together also and we are staying at a mod for the first time together as well (CBR)! And I have the same stitch ears and bought the same awesome fans from the Disney Store- I got the Mickey one for the DBF and the Little Mermaid one for me!
Reading your PTR makes me so excited! I can't believe I have only a litttle more than 3 weeks to go!
Oh and if you are ever itching for a puppy- remember that terriers are hypo allergenic or however you say it- they have hair not fur so no allergies!
Can't wait to read on!
