Day 8 - The Final Voyage

Darren aka ktulu aka darrrrren - me, 30, and I'm a pirate, arrrrr
Jill - aka Gimpy the 8th dwarf, my wife, 26, not a pirate, but the best wife in the world!
Pal Mickey - aka 'The Man errr Mouse' - little friend, won't give age, hates water.
Arrrrr, it be the last days of our voyage mateys, and me is not too happy about having to leave. Before we be forced out of our room, we make it to the vast feast of goodies for breakfast one last time. Me is going to miss having food laid out for me in the morning. Me really doesn't want to go back to me regular routine of getting up, showering, dressing, grabbing pop tarts or granola bars for breakfast and driving to work. Me likes getting up, showering, dressing, having me choice of stuff for breakfast, and then taking a bus or boat to a park for a day filled with fun. Arrrrr, me guesses if life were really like that, me wouldn't have to plunder for a living. Me and Jill make some last minute purchases at the store in the Wilderness Lodge before we pack up, and say goodbye to our home for the past week. Arrrr bellhop arrives to store our luggage as we head out to the bus stop.
Last time we visited, we didn't see any of the other hotels, except for the Contemporary. Me takes over a bus and off we are to the TTC. Arrrr, another morning of people making a mad rush to either the Epcot line or the Magic Kingdom line, we choose the resort line and wait alone for our monorail to arrive. It be a short wait before we're riding in style to the Grand Floridian.
Arrrrr, we be seein that Great Hotels show on the magic box at home, so we pays a visit. It's pretty, but we're not getting the draw to this hotel. We look around the store and the lobby, before we head to the bus stop. Maybe one day we'll stay here, but we have other places on our list we'd rather stay at first.
The bus eventually arrives, and we're on our way to DTD for final shopping, something to eat, and some fun at DisneyQuest! We walk around a bit and check out some stores before heading to DisneyQuest. Me didn't think it would be crowded mid-day, but there be quite a few people here.
The first thing we must be doin is finding a mug of grog and some grub before we begin out adventure. We grab grub from the little grill place. It not be gourmet, but it be decent, so we eat and then set out for fun.
Arrrr, now me may be out of line, but me and me wife got a bit peeved. See, me visits arcades frequently, Dave and Busters and Gameworks usually. It be known that when ye be standing at the game playing, it be your machine until you be done. Arrrr, this land lubber not be getting the memo at DisneyQuest, as he expects me and me wife to leave a game after our game be over. Me recalls waiting many times at many arcades (including the not-so-arcadish DQ) for someone to finish a game, and it even be entertaining to watch them. Not so in this case. Irritated, we decide to find something else to do, not before the bilge-sucking swab makes a comment that sends me over the edge. Me pulls out me cutlass and runs him through before he can say yo-ho-ho. At least, that's how me remembers the story. Arrrr, there be one in every park/store/restaurant/arcadish type establishment eh?
Arrrr, we quickly leave the scene of the crime and stop and play a few games. It is cool to see lots of old games and takes me back to when me was a young lad pumping quarters into games at the local mall. Recklessly sucking down quarter pounder cheeseburgers from McDonald's in the old-fashioned non-biodegradable Styrofoam containers, tossing them on the ground when ye be done. Arrrr, that be the day.
Sorrrry, me got side tracked. We finally stumble upon a game that me can really get into, the Pirates of the Caribbean game! That's ride kids, you've ridden the ride, you've seen the movie, now play the game! Arrrrr, me is assigned Captain (they probably saw my exceptional abilities at Mission Space!) and a crew, me wife and two young lasses. Arrrr, it be a bad thing to be on a ship with women, and me whole crew be women! Good thing me pal mickey not be here to see this. Arrr, me would never live it down! Arrrr, well me can whip any crew into shape, so here is what happened. We boarded our ship and, hey ya slimy bilge rat, ye be releasin the keyboard, stopasdfjaasdou 020923 jasdkfa hey put that down! asdjfasdf09asdfj arrrrrrrrrrr jafdljasdf0
HU-HA, GOT IT! Pal Mickey here! I saw the whole thing, my good pal Goofy was there lurking with a video camera! Good ole Goofy, always there when ya need him, right? So, our "feared pirate" Darren boards the ship crying like a little baby, blubbering about how he wants a real crew. Well, before you know it the friendly Cast Member has them squared away. The girls did fantastic! They were shooting those other pirates left and right, boom pow, wowie it was a terrific battle. Now, while that was happening, the dread pirate darren is trying to figure out how to get the ship to move in one direction. I don't know how the girls did it, but they are the true hero's of that voyage! Oh, let me tell you about the big finish, first they grabbed darr
Arrrrrr, ye ain't so gabby without ye batteries! Arrr, now ya be forgettin what the little rat said. The big finish, well after the girls were too busy chattin about nail paints, me took over shootin all the cannons meself, all while keepin the ship on a steady course. We not lose one piece of gold, all thanks to me superior Pirating. In the end, the cast member bows down and tells me how me be the greatest pirate he be seein on dem seven seas!
Once back on dry land, it be time to go. Me wife and 6 cast members drag me to the bus stop, they lure me onto the bus with a promise that we be headin to the Magic Kingdom to see me fellow brethren of the coast.
Arrrr, they lied. We arrive back at the Wilderness Lodge, where me gets our luggage and we wait for our car. The towncar arrives and we are soon on our way to the Orlando airport. Seeing Walt Disney World behind us, me sits back and reflects.
Walt Disney World lets you forget about the problems at home, at your job and in life. It's a magical place that welcomes anyone, from the young couple starting their new life together as husband and wife, to the retired couple who is taking their grandchildren to Walt Disney World for the first time. It has something for everyone. I was truly blessed to have spent my 30th birthday at WDW. The memories I have will be with me forever, from seeing the Wilderness Lodge with my own eyes for the first time, to my first ride on Mission Space, it was the greatest birthday present I have ever received, and I'm the luckiest guy in the world for having a wife who made it happen.
