A Pirate and Princess Get Married...and Disneymoon! UPDATE 6/15 DAY 3 PART 2

The kitchen is going to be a deciding factor when I finally buy a house...nothing is better than a nice kitchen.

As for my invitations I actually just got a call telling my they came in so I will post a picture tomorrow. But it is embossed with a hear and a bride and groom. I was starting to have a hard time finding one I like. The ones that I really like had calla lilies on it but they were sooooooo expensive. What do yours look like???

Your invitations sound so pretty! It's amazing how expensive some of the things are isn't it? We ended up getting a pretty simple invitation with burgandy writing with detailed rose border as I'm going to be having a rose bouquet at the wedding. I LOVE the photograph that it seems every bride/groom takes now where the bride/groom are in black and white and the only thing in color is the bouquet of red roses!

Wow it's all getting really close.

The house looks great, I remember moving into our first house..:scratchin

Looks like you are in for some good weather out this way

Low 70's during the day with nights in the mid 50's

I know, I can't believe it's 8 days away! I can't believe how stressed out I'm getting. I normally handle things like this really well but it's all been very nerve wracking!

The weather sounds WONDERFUL. That's my kind of weather...I can't stand anything TOO hot..hence why we don't go to Disneyworld in the summer!

Wow, this TR is really exciting! Your wedding is so close!!! And your home is beautiful... I love the floors (I know that's sort of a weird thing to say, but I do). Oh, and I have that giraffe from AK, too!!

Anyway, I can't wait to hear more! :)

I love your name, how pretty. I studied french a small amount, and just think it's such a beautiful language. I'm dying to go to Paris! Thank you so much, I really love the floors too. We were looking at three of the same model all identical except for one had the floor we had, one had bamboo style flooring which was also really pretty and the other had carpeting. The cherry wood really sold me though!

Your place is beautiful! I am in loooooooooooooooooove with your kitchen. That is the one thing I am not in love with at our new house -- the kitchen is small. But everything else is fantastic, so I am dealing with it.

And I love the cupcakes, especially the duck one. Too cute.

8 days!!!!!! Wow, that is so soon. I am so excited for you.

Well thank you and I posted a picture of them on my Pre TR. It is amazing how expensive things can be I am kinda afraid of doing the flowers. Your invitations sound pretty...is your bouquet going to be all red roses? I want roses and cala lilies in mine but I like nice neat bouquets.

Yeah I can't wait to see pictures when you get back!!! Wow you have a week left. Don't get too stressed the day of the wedding forget about everything and have a great day!!! If anything goes wrong chances are the guests won't even know so just enjoy your day!!!!

My DW and I had a simple inexpensive wedding and a HUGE EXPENSIVE honeymoon at WDW and we've been perfectly happy ever since. I actually think the divorce rate would go down in America if more people involved WDW into their marriage plans in some capacity!

Great TR. I wish you both the best! And will pray for a great wedding and smooth honeymoon!

Good Luck!

Just a quick update. We're just over a week out- I can't believe it! Finally it seems everything is booked. I was getting nervous about the limo but it's done and I finally hired a makeup artist (very last minute).

I've been really edgy because I've basically been STARVING myself! I just went to the food store and picked up only fish and oatmeal for the week, our snacks consisting of rice cakes, grapes and fresh vegetables- Jeremy's going to be THRILLED :rotfl2: . I've been enforcing this diet for the last month and he's taken to using three ingredients in our home to make his junk food. Marshmallows, which he covers in peanut butter and then pours chocolate sauce (for making chocolate milk) over. Those were NOT on my shopping list this week :).

On another note this weekend we'll be finally packing everything up and putting our vows together!

Lastly a fellow diser made these cute designs for us (thanks Pat) which I'm going to put on tee-shirts. I love them!

Hope you all enjoy the weekend- and eat up for me~!

Thank you so much, I'm so grateful to be living here! I loved making the cupcakes, I went on FamilyFun.com and they have so many fun ideas. At my bridal shower I was given TONS of cookware so I really wanted to try it all out so I went into a cooking frenzy (yeah, that lasted all of a week before it was back to the microwave).

Great, I'm going to check them out! We really lucked out in the bouquet department and I'm thrilled with my flowers, but I don't even know what the flowers at my wedding look like (which is a whole other story involving my mother in law). As for my bouquet it's just going to be rose, I knew someone who had that and I thought it looked beautiful so it works for me. The roses and cala lily sound really pretty too!

We really wanted to keep everything as simple as possible, hence why we're having so few people at our wedding (35) and its still costing $10,000!!!! :scared1: It's scary to think how much it must cost to have a large wedding! I'm honestly much more excited for the honeymon!

Thank you so much for your warm wishes and for jumping on board!

Awww I know how it is! I starved for our wedding and I'm trying to diet now to shave off the 10 pounds I've gained since law school started. Soon you will be in Disney and you can eat some delicious meals and Mickey ear bars. Droooool.

I'm sorry you're stressed. :sad1: I remember actually getting chest pains before our wedding (mostly due to family annoyances). Hang in there, and good luck with packing this weekend!! :goodvibes

Isn't dieting awful? I can imagine it's been difficult to diet with law school. I've been on this slim fast bar-100 calorie snack pack diet for about 2 years and now I'm really trying to give it an extra push with eating oatmeal and fish (yuck!). The only thing I keep thinking about is all the yummy food I get to start eating in 1 week and crossing my fingers that I won't gain any weight because I'll be walking around so much at Disney and in the national parks hiking.

Thanks so much!

Also I looked at the wedding dresses and they are beautiful. I really love the Cinderella ones!

I love the designs for your shirts!!! Too cute. Good luck with the vows and dont; stress too much. I also am dieting so I can fit in my dress so there won't be any fun eating for me this weekend. Just think this time next week you will be married :bride:  :groom: and heading to your honeymoon.

Thank you, I love them too! I can't wait to make the shirts, I think I'll have time to make them tomorrow night. We just got back from the mall and spent WAY too much money on gifts for our bridal party...ugh the hidden wedding expenses!

Can't wait though, getting so excited!

If you make them tomorrow make sure you post a picture of them!!! Ahh yes the lovely hidden wedding expenses...I have no clue what to get the parents. Luckily I have plenty of time to figure it out. I am going to do the whole jewelrything for the girls in the part though...and maybe a little something else. Hope you have fun making the shirts and packing!!!

I really enjoyed your last trip report. Looking forward to reading about your disneymoon. Enjoy your special day. It goes so fast!:bride:

Hi Serendipity,
I just found this pretrip report today! I read your last trip report which was soo funny. You only have 5 more days :bride: :groom: how excited and stressed out you must be. Wow I can relate to the family wanting you to get marreid in church :guilty: , my inlaws had a major cow that we didn't want to do that. So we went to Sandals in Jamaica instead  and they were  as hell. It was nice and romantic not letting anyone ruin our day and the honeymoon starts right after. Anyway your cake is so pretty and looks yummy. Hope your wedding day is perfect. Can't wait to read your trip report too. Good luck.

So packing this past weekend didn't end up happening. Somewhere around the spending hundreds of dollars on gifts for our wedding party made us loose our heads. In delirium after spending MUCHO this weekend we went through our days in a dream like daze, not wanting to admit that this was in fact our life, and coming straight out of our bank account.

However, I finally made my packing list last night. I tried to convince Jeremy that it was perfectly normal to have 20 shoes on my list- I mean, all are complete necessities!

That didn't go over so well.

I've narrowed it down to 12, but I'm not sure how that's going to bode either.

On another note I picked up my dress this weekend so now it's sitting in my closet with my veil, shoes and purse. I'm thinking of posting some pictures later on so you can get an idea of how the ensemble will fit together.

I cannot believe how much there still is to do! Wish me luck!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

I actually never got around to making them but I am definitely making them tonight. There's something wrong with our printer so I have to go to Kinko's to print out the designs, so I'll be going there tonight and most likely making the shirts right after. We still haven't written our vows so we also have that to do (I know, I know but we are really last minute people).

We went to Things Remembered for all the gifts. It's a store that has all this pretty stuff that they personalize (jewelery boxes, champagne flutes, money clips, pocket watches, etc). The things aren't that expensive but they really get you on the engraving. It's $3/word but what they don't tell you is that if you use initials each initial is a word.
