A Pirate and Princess Get Married...and Disneymoon! UPDATE 6/15 DAY 3 PART 2

OMG I completely forgot about Jeremy's syrup of ipecac story! :rotfl2: That was classic and in my opinion he is the poster child for "Do anything to go to Disney":lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: Too funny!

I'm jumping on board too! I'm anxious to read all about your disneymoon in DL! :yay:

BTW - Congratulations :dance3:

Can't wait to read more about your trip!!! I am currently planning my wedding and Disneymoon also although we are going to WDW.

I went to Disneyland for the first time last year and it was tons of fun...although I was sad b/c Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain were closed when I went.

Can't wait to read more!!!

That's so exciting also. I just read up, it sounds like you're going to have an absolutely wonderful time. So much planning to do between the wedding and honeymoon...makes me wonder how we have time to dis (like that isn't my first priority :rotfl: )

My parents and I do not agree on things, but they have been very gracious about doing it my way, even though they are paying for part of it. So that's good. But I am still going crazy trying to make everyone happy.

That's really nice that they accept your wishes. When my parents found out we weren't getting married in a church they invited my fiancee and I and my brother and sister in law and without telling us held a "family meeting" where they basically attacked us for an hour and a half. That was REAL fun. Thankfully after some time things settled down. I've learned you can't make everyone happy, but at the same time try as hard as you can to pick and choose your battles! (For example, I didn't completely freak out on my soon to be mother in law for picking all of the flowers that are going to be at the ceremony/reception without even consulting me...I still don't even know what they look like! :::deep breaths!::

I'm soooo excited!!! After you last TR I can't imagine NOT reading about your crazy adventures on your honeymoon!!!
(hopefully Jeremy won't have to throw up to go on this trip :lmao:)

-nat

No, hopefully there will not be any vomiting during this trip. Except maybe me from nerves leading up to the wedding! Thanks for reading along! :cutie:

You're 4 days out! How exciting!!! And yes, that's my Jeremy. Have the best time!

Thanks for jumping on blue. I've actually spent most of my morning reading your TR, only I've only gotten through about 1/4th about it so far! Something to look foward to!

Hey I have an idea, why don’t you guys Elope tonight and start your Disneymoon tomorrow?

That way we will get to start reading your trip report two weeks sooner. :cool1:

No, Well OK it was just an idea

It's not my fault we can't wait to hear about it all.

So now I am 15 days out from my wedding and 16 from the honeymoon! It's really catching up fast.

There's still so much to do. Can you believe we just picked our wedding cake last night and we still don't have a limo! Thankfully, that's one of the last thing to do off our check list!

I thought I might post a day to day check list of things we're going to be doing. So here goes (although I'm sure some of it might change once we arrive).

May 06th, 2007

Wake up at a lovely 4:30AM and take a taxi to the airport (as paying long term parking for three weeks would be astronomical and there's no way we're taking the train at that hour with four + suitcases). Eat an unreasonably greasy breakfast to induce vomiting/stomach problems on plane.

Fly out of Newark to LA at 8:40 and arrive (thanks to the time difference) at 11:50AM. Pick up our rental car and head straight to HOJO's (although I'm still crossing my fingers for the Grand Californian!).

Check in at our hotel probably sometime around 2, hopefully have some time to refresh. A quick shower really is heavenly after a long flight. It makes a world of difference.

First priority of business finding bride/groom ears. I'm secretely hoping these might help to secure a certain Mickey's Penthouse :bride: . Take a walk right over to California Adventure to enjoy the Aladdin show/the food and wine festival and check out the Block Party Bash. Dinner reservations at Cafe Orleans in Disneyland famous for their monte cristo sandwiches!

Watch "Remember Dreams Come True" (our real reason for getting about 3 hours of sleep after the wedding). Lastly call it a night and most likely sleep in the next morning.

May 07th

-Character Breakfast at the Plaza with Minnie and Friends
-Do all of the rides we really wanted to do the day before. The problem with Disneyland is they only have their shows/parades during the weekend.
-Dinner reservations at the famous Blue Bayou, directly inside of Pirates of the Carribean. Doesn't get much cooler than that!

May 08th

-Visit the California beaches, and check out the Aquarium of the Pacific thanks to a certain Goofster. The aquarium looks really cool with several 3-D shows so it should be very fun.
-Get back in Anaheim in time to have dinner at Goofy's Kitchen which I'm told is something like Chef Mickey's back in good ol' Orlando.
-Check out the nightlife at Downtown Disney.

May 09th

-Back to the parks!
-Dinner at Napa Rose which is supposedly outstanding. Very excited for what will most likely be a very romantic evening

May 10th
-Check out
-Possibly have breakfast at the Aloha character breakfast featuring Lilo and Stitch
-Make our way to VEGAS baby.

Things we're most excited for:

-Remember Dreams Come True Fireworks
-The Aladdin Show
-Both the Block Party Bash and Main Parade at Disneyland
-New Space Mountain
-Alice in Wonderland
-Pinocchio
-Mr. Toad
-Soarin
-All of our dining
-Food and Wine festival (specifically free spirit tasting :cool2: )

Wow, you are so much calmer and stronger than me. I am not sure I could my mother-in-law doing that, and I really like her.

We did have some family drama at first, but it seems to have been mostly caused by misunderstanding from everyone.

Your Cali trip plan sounds fabulous. I love Blue Bayou!!! So romantic.

Yeah, I found your pretrip report before you got back from your honeymoon. Sounds like you're going to have a great trip. I can't wait to read all about it. Enjoy your wedding!

Your plans sound great! I loved the look of Blue Bayou when I was in Disneyland last year.

Sadly it started POURING right before the fireworks when I was there. I was so upset b/c we had an awesome spot in front of the castle and everything. There were like two drops of rain and then the sky just opened up! We rain all the way to Indiana Jones and walked right on and by the time we got out it has stopped but was enough to cancel the fireworks. Oh BTW the Indiana Jones ride is wicked awesome!!! That was by far my favorite ride there!

I am glad all the plans are coming together. What kind of cake did you pick out???

Oh I would LOVE to. A girl can dream :cloud9:. I actually really wanted to elope but Jeremy for some unknown reason thought we'd break even or come out ahead after the wedding :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:.

I'm really not thrilled about the situation at all, but, thankfully it's almost over! Happy to hear that the drama is over! We're really excited for the Blue Bayou, I have a feeling it might be a highlight of the trip

Hi JbMom, thanks for jumping on board! :drive:

Oh no! I'd be so upset if we missed the fireworks! At least you were able to get on Indiana Jones walk on! I just found out Indiana Jones won't have fastpasses during our stay so we're going to have to either get on first thing in the morning or a fluke situation like you had! As for the cake we're having a simple layer cake with a pretty detailed design. The icing is buttercream and the inside of the cake is yellow with a tirimisu filling. This is a picture of it. Our cake is this without the stands between layers and we're going to have rose petals sprinkled over it.

Hey darling!

First of all me and Jeremy are the same - I am (I guess) half jewish and half catholic but I consider myself agnostic as well! .. I just thought that tidbit was interesting and coincidental!! :goodvibes

I can't wait to hear all about Disneyland. I haven't read much about Disneyland so it should be a fun trippie! Also, I love Disney and Todd loves Vegas so that sounds like an option for a future honeymoon of ours as well - you smart little cookies!!

Your cake is beautiful and looks DE-LISH!

YOUR GETTING MARRIED! YIPPPPPPPPPPPPYY! :goodvibes
