Welcome all! If you found this, you have found my first ever pre-trip report. Congratulations! This is going to be a super, magical trip so stay along for the ride.
Who are we: Me (Em)
28 years old. This is my third trip to WDW and I am hoping that this one will be magical. I did all of the planning, arranging, making ADRs, figuring out the schedule, etc because DF just "didnt want to be bothered" and "knew I would get enjoyment out of it... afterall isnt that part of the fun." Ahhh, maybe he does get it. I love ToT, EE, and more than anything I love the Safari. Oh yeah, I like restaurants a ton too, although I can never eat more than just a few bites.
DH (Kev): 30 years old, also known by me as "Captain Unimpressed" he is just one of those cool guys that even if he likes something he will just say it was "okay." This will be his second time, and the first time we went he had just gotten a new videocamera and spend his time recording every minute of our trip for this super video that well.... never got seen again! He loves thrill rides and doesnt much care for shows, but he will go to make me happy. Loves to eat and especially likes to sit down and rest during the day. If he had his way, there would be a nap every day... alas I doubt that will happen.
Why are we going: This trip was spontaneously planned after I mentioned to my wonderful husband that our first anniversary is coming up and we had always talked about having it at Disney. Our anniversary is 9/22 and we will be in the world from 9/18 to 9/25. At first I think he thought I was having a fleeting thought, but he soon gave into my Disney desires and the trip was booked.
The anniversary is marked on our ADRs and I plan on wearing the button, although I am not sure if I can get him to wear it. Anything that calls attention to him is a bad thing. His classic comment after I told him it was marked on the ADRs "gee do I have to be romantic for the WHOLE trip." Spoken just like a man.... well my husband anyways!
Mmmmm Deluxe Dining Plan: Althought this has been the topic of much debate around these boards, we opted for the Deluxe Dining Plan. What spurred the decision? Wanting to have dinner in the Castle on our anniversary, which is going to happen. Both Kev and I like breakfast buffets and then we added a few Signature dining experiences in and we were all set.
Now I have taken alot of flack for my dining choices including the following phrases: "thats too much food," "dont you want to experience the rides too," and the ever popular "you dont honestly think you will eat three meals a day will you." I don't know what we will eat or what we won't eat, but I do know that we don't HAVE to eat everything put in front of us and I intend on seeing plenty of the parks. Plus, I will have one heck of a dining experience too!
Here is the tentative schedule! Now I have heard about needing to modify it, but I honestly think it will work....and if it doesnt, well you will hear about it in my trip report
