A personal question - dreaming about loved ones who have passed

I have some very vivid dreams about my grandmother, who was very special to me. They usually are in a family setting with other relatives around and there is my Granny. I think at first I feel that she really is alive and back with us, but then from within the dream I know she has died. I will sit and talk with her and either I will ask her if she can stay, or she tells me that she can't stay long. The dreams usually end with her hugging me and us telling how much we love each other. These dreams are very comforting to me. I don't know when one will happen, but for some reason I know there will be more. They really seem like she is visiting me.

The night my Grandmother passed away, I dreamed that she was walking around shopping with my mom and me at Walmart. I remember asking her not to overdo things since she had been sick. She told me that she was fine and strong again. In some ways, I wonder if this was her letting me know she was not suffering anymore. This was the most vivid dream I have ever had. It was also comforting at the same time.

I've dreamed often of my mother since she died 5 months ago. It's always a comfort to me.

Ever since my dad died, when I dream of him, I'm well aware that he is dead.
Some of these dreams are visits, some are just dreams. I wish I could will them , but I can't.

Whenever I dream of my sons, it's usually after they've passed. Sometimes it's nightmares about the day they died, most of the time it's a happy dream. It doesn't happen often, but when it does I like to think that my little angels are "visiting" me!

So far I had dreams about my mom, and yes I know she is gone. Each dream the fact that she had died was brought up. One time she infomed me that she met up with my grandmother in heaven (her mom) another one she told me the doctors didn't give her a chance. Another one was when she was standing next to me looking down at my brother's second set of twins that she never got to see cause she died a couple years before they were born. She mentions that she wishes she could be there to hold them and get to know them. She argued with me about the age of my dad's new wife in one dream and she was correct / I came out and asked dad his wife's age to see who was right.

My grandmother came to me in a dream to tell me that DD would be alright right after she was born. DD was 8 weeks pre mature and very sick. Didn't know if she would live or not. My grandma died just before DD was born.

After these experiences I believe that loved ones can communicate with us after they are gone in our dreams. Some may think I'm nuts but I am convinced.
