1 day - woohooo
Had a bit of a bad day yesterder - pre-hols panic
"so much to do, so little time etc etc", but it's all behind uz now. Took a 'flexi' since I was due to work tonight so am on me jollies as we speak (well, I type, you read - or run away screamin.....whatever)
I feel a lot more relaxed today and have the day to finish off all the little jobs that need to be done before V gets in from work - revamp her plan (done), print it off (in process) laminate it (yep, new toy and I'm even sadder than that ... it's colour co-ordinated too!), get me head shaved, wash and valet the car, finish packin the odds and ends, go through me checkist - (oops, make out a checklist!) - get V and the kids fish and chips for pre-hols tea, then set off 45 minutes after she arrives home - or else!
I think we can safely say I'm 'back'
For them that like to know these things here's the Plan. V's was laughably 'easy' - well detailed by most standards but I found chunks of hours that weren't allocated - THEY ARE NOW
Friday tea-time - drive to Manchester - some hotel beside airport (note to Dave, check route and motorway junctions etc before we leave). Meet me mate Ian around 8ish for a pint in the hotel and hand over car keys.
Sat 6am -
"Up and at'em, Pal" Flight goes 10.30, got to check in by 8.30 so no time to let the family dawdle.
Arrive Sanford 3pm US Time, expect to be at Fat Towers for 4, drop the cases and back out to ASMu by 5ish. Traditional family tea of fries with chilli for me (and a Bud) and cheese for V and the kids - I know how to let my hair down! Let the kids have a quick splash in the pool while I have another Bud then head for the buses.
Magic Kingdom between 6:30 and 6:32 and take it easy - to let the tears of joy clear - before stakin our usual Spectro spot for 7pm.
Leave MK as soon as Spectro passes and take Monorail to Epcot. Take up spot between Mexico and Norway - "A Fiesta Margarita for me,Pet and summat cheap for the wife" - to watch the final Tappestry parade. Leave V to keep me spot for Reflections and pop over to Morocco for a tax-free beer then maybe manage another Fiesta with me favourite show of them all. (I know that's a lot of alcohol, but it's me only non-drivin day)
Bed by 10 - early start tomorrer!
Sunday - MK early entry - if we're up 5ish, will probably go for a drive to
Walmart or Publix but ah'll let them sleep for once if they're tired. Out for the bus at 7 and MK all day. Will pop over to Typhoon Lagoon for an hour or so in the afty.Finish with Fantasy in the Sky then head back to Fat Towers, pickin up groceries and beer on the way.
Monday - Walmart as soon as we're up (6ish?)then Sizzlers for brekkie. Nike store for our shoes then Seaworld for the day. Race Rock to finish.
Tuesday - Busch then pop into Disney Quest on the way home.
Wednesday - MGM, finishin with Fantasmic(Dinner Package). Disney Quest for the kids and Downtown Disney for V.
Thursday - Will let them lie in today to recharge their tiny little batteries - but we'll be at universal for 9am. Wet N Wild for a couple of hours in the afty. Florida Mall on the way home.
Friday - V's Anniversary. EPCOT all day and she's decided she's eatin at the Japanese restaurant. She's also decided she's goin to the Rodeo at last - been avoidin/missin this for the last two trips.Not expectin this to be a headline day - so might as well rain an'all and get it over with ;-)
Satdy 2 - Animal Kingdom then I finally get to do summat - Lynyrd Skynyrd at Universal, oh and it's the Mardi Gras an'all (or V wouldn't be lettin me go)
Sunday 2 - Fun Spot on I Drive (go-karts and amusements) - all day wrist bands to be used to the max so will pop in and out to ease the day. Wet N Wild for a while and The Titanic thingy early evenin.
Monday 2 - Islands of Adventure then Wet N Wild for the kids before headin for Boggy Creek for an evenin boat ride.
Tuesday 2 - EPCOT mornin and Beaches and Cream for a kitchen sink for lunch. MGM afty till Fantasmic then back to EPCOT for Reflections.
Wednesday 2 - Lie in (for them) to catch up then Winter Park for an easy mornin. Typhoon Lagoon till closin then Cirque.
Thursday 2 - Busch and back for Disney Quest.
Friday 2 - Sea World mornin then Magic Kingdom afty (V's never been on the BayLake Ferry till now).Typhoon Lagoon for the last hour or so and back to Mickey for the last time. Leave in tears after FiTS.
Satdy 3 :-( - Rebuild Dave's place and try to get to Sanford with a bit more time to spare this year- we've nearly missed check in the last two trips, squeezin the last minutes into me last mornin.
Course, none of the above is set in stone and there are whole hours (mostly, the middle of the night admitedly) where we'll 'go with the flow' and decided what to do on the spur of the moment.
