A Peek Into the August Online Meet Activities!! (already added a new activity!)

Hi everyone! I thought I would give you guys a little peek at what we have planned for those of you that aren't going to be able to attend the August Pin Event and the Great Pin Adventure!

Arizona Jeff and I have been putting our heads together trying to think of fun things for all of you to do while we are battling the lines, the RSP's and the Florida HEAT (which of course will be cool for Jeff!) Here is a list of some of the games and activities we have planned!

*** The Great Pin Adventure Trivia - Try your hand at answering the questions that will be given to the contestants of the Trivia contests at the Pin Adventure Meet!

***Distorted Pins - You know.. after you stand in line in the heat and humidity in Florida in August, your eyes play funny tricks on you. Add into that very little sleep and those pins just start looking a little weird!! See pins as we will be seeing them after the elements take their toll on us. Can you figure out what pins we are looking at?

***Board "Scavenger" hunts - we are going to send you all over the Collector's Board to see how well you know your fellow members!

***The Great Pin Adventure Treasure Hunt - team up with people going to the event to solve a series of riddles and clues to find the treasures! We will supply your team with a series of riddles and clues and you will work together as a team to decifer what it is we want the people in WDW to find and bring to the meet! If you are interested in participating in this event (online or at WDW) please post on this thread and email me at mzdavis67@aol.com so that I can get the teams made up!

*** The Survivor Cheerleaders Pin Lottery - the sign ups for this activity are under way. I'll have the Cheerleaders post the details of the lottery on this thread!

*** A progressive Adventure Story. We will start you off and set the scene.. it's up to you guys to write the story.. one line at a time. Everyone will take turns adding a sentence to the story. I can only imagine what kind of an adventure that will be!

I can't believe that I can't be there either. I've only met a few of you once before and I've been collecting now for two years. My timing is incredibly poor. Three trips this year and I still can't get it right.
If you're looking for an official whiner and feel sorryer for...it's me! I can do that! Pick me! Pick me! I want to be part of the stay at home and live vicariously through others group. Poor me, poor me...doesn't anyone need a personal luggage carrier. I could do that. I could be the EEYORE of the group, really well.

The cheerleaders are sponsoring a pin drawing to be held on August 11 at the Great Pin Adventure Meet sponsored by Arizona Jeff and Mean Laureen. We wish that every one of you could be with us at the meet -- but if you can’t be there, the second best thing is a chance at a pin, right!?

We have had offers from quite a few people to donate a pin for this drawing -- and we hope to have many more pin donations before the drawing is held. Here’s all you have to do to have a chance at one of these great pins.

First, post a reply on our thread "Be a part Of the Pin Adventure even If you aren't there,"
letting us know that you would like to enter the drawing. Next, and this is VERY IMPORTANT, send an e-mail to Perndwler@aol.com with the following information by midnight on Sunday, August 4:

Your name
Your full address
Your DIS screen name
Your e-mail address


We must have all of the above information for your entry to be valid. Okay, had to throw in a few official-sounding rules -- I mean look at all the rules Disney has for those of us that are going to be at the event!

That’s it. Perndwler will collect the names and addresses and bring them to the meet. Everyone who is donating a pin to this event will bring their pin to the meet and will be asked to draw a name, put their pin in an LBE (which we will provide), put on the address label (which we will provide) and I will mail all the LBEs to the lucky winners the next morning. Your chance to win, and you don’t even have to stand in line!!

DISCLAIMER:
There is no guarantee of how many pins will be available for the drawing. Again, this should make you feel like you’re at the real thing, because those of us actually going to the event have no idea of how many pins will be available either!

Hey, I'm back and ready to play. The swimming pool business is slowing down. I can't get off that week but will be available to play any and all I can online. Count me in. I've missed alot over the last couple of months!!

I want to participate as much as I can in the online events (well, as much as work lets me now that we are on 12 hour "death marches" again"!). Been kind of busy with other things lately; had to stop everything for awhile but now I'm back and can't wait to dig into pins again!
