PB was on sale BOGO free a few weeks ago. So I got a regular one for the kids and reduced fat PB for myself.
When I got it home I calculated the points. I discovered that I do not save any points by using RF PB. So that got me wondering about the difference between the two. Looking a the nutritional info, the RF PB has a LOT more carbs than regular PB. By looking at the ingredients it seems as though cprn syrup is added to the RF PB.
So I wonder, if I'm not getting lower points out of the deal, is RF worth it? I hate to simply substitute fat with wasted carbs. I had done Atkins before so I still have some adversion to unnecessary carbs.
What do you think? Is it better to reduce my fat intake even of it is the same amount of points? Or should I use regular and avoid the extra corn syrup?
