By the time we finished getting our pic taken with Mickey, they were up to boarding group 6. We had group 1 but it was no big deal. It was still super early - just a few minutes past when they opened up boarding. So we headed over to the ears to get on the ship. I love that even the entrance to the ship is such a cool design - Disney touches are the best and make me so happy and excited for what is to come!

It was almost our turn. As we were walking through the queue, we were discussing what our "family name" was going to be for the boarding announcement. We love to come up with a creative name.

It was our turn next and we were talking about our family name. We decided we HAD to go with Iglesias. We are HUGE fans of the movie Bridesmaids. And if you have seen the movie you might recall the scene on the airplane where Kristen Wiig's character insists she is Mrs. Iglesias and belongs in first class. We are always joking around that we are Mrs. iglesias and many other bridesmaids quotes. Name settled we made the approach!

We were boarding so fast that my pics did NOT turn out great - I took a video so that was really the best part. So here is our blurry entrance

I love how they all stand to welcome you aboard - it really does make you feel special

We made our way in - it was our first time on the Dream and it did NOT disappoint!

We found the bar right away

Even though it wasn't open yet we needed to know where it was LOL

We wanted to check out the ship a bit since our rooms wouldn't be ready for quite a while

I LOOOOOOOOVVVEEEE these little throne chairs they have! They are SO beautiful! I want one at home

The halls to the shops were empty

I may have already been peeking in to see what they had in the shops

This area is SOOOO gorgeous!!!

Tim found us a great table right outside the door so we could enjoy the outdoors while we ate. It was absolutely gorgeous outside

I was back quickly with a few peel and eat shrimp and some bread and butter as well as a Diet Coke.

Tim was talking about the little steaks they had and how good they were

so I was "forced" to go back to the buffet and grab one as well as some more bread. I am admittedly a carb addict. I love bread!!

Andy found the deserts and came back with a bunch of them!

All in all it was a great start to the cruise. It was nice to explore a bit then have some lunch outside on the deck. It was a nice temperature out with a light breeze. It was very enjoyable and we were also able to get our last texts and phone calls into family before sailing away.

Bringing back happy memories. We're on The Fantasy in August 16, our 1st year of managing our holidays around school opening times!

Isn't it awesome? I really think getting on early made a HUGE difference - especially on a shorter cruise - it was pretty much like having a full sea day we did so much! It was so nice sitting outside and if the weather cooperates on our next cruises I will definitely try it again!

So glad it's bringing back happy memories! It's doing the same for me! I "may" have booked another cruise for December 2016 yesterday while writing this LOL!! We are now struggling with working with school times as well as Zoe will be in the high school in the fall and doesn't want to miss a lot of time. We are pulling her out for a week in Feb 2016 for the Star Wars cruise though. We'll see how it goes. I LOVED the Fantasy - it really is fabulous!

After lunch it was time to head to Palo to change around our reservations. We did have a Palo brunch and a Palo dinner booked. And even though i REALLY want to try the Palo brunch (it looks and sounds amazing from the reviews) we decided to skip it this trip and just enjoy our sea day and save brunch for a longer cruise. So we cancelled our brunch and made sure we were all set for our dinner as Andy and I were celebrating our 18th anniversary.

Sorry a lot of the Palo pics didn't turn out that great because of the sun shining through the windows. I decided on this trip we would only take our go pro as I didn't want to lug around a big camera. It takes GREAT pics outside and underwater but some of the inside ones aren't great. I promise there are some very nice photos along the way as well

Joining your TR! Great start, I was on the Dream for the first time in March and fell in love!! My family was chosen as family of the day, absolutely the best experience ever!! I love all of the details that Disney incorporates from check-in to everything on the ship. Looking forward to reading more!

We continued wandering around the ship for a bit.
