Well unfortunately, I just got off the phone with my surgeons office and due to some changes in insurance rules and poor record keeping on the part of my general practitioner, my gastric bypass has now been postponed until December 10th. It seems that insurance now wants 6 months worth of trial weight loss and my general practitioner can only find 4 months worth of documentation. So now i have switched GPs and was fortunate enough to get an appt for tomorrow morning to begin a new trial weight loss. I am still having the BYpass but since insurance wont pay for it until after I do the trial, it has been postponed until December 10th

Sorry to hear about the delay, insurance is such a scam, the whole system drives me crazy. Good luck with the trial weight loss, I'm interested to know what their weight loss suggestions are. I could stand to lose more than a few pounds myself. Restarting my weight loss efforts today!

Well that just sucks. Such a disappointment. And to have to start all over. Can you not just add another 2 months to what you already have. And have yur files transfered. Oh so disappointing. I feel so bad for you. Hang in there

Wrong bypass, but your heart is in the right place. Gnome is doing
gastric bypass (for weight loss), not heart bypass (like your dad).

Gnome, I'm sorry to hear that you're having insurance troubles.
A friend of mine went through it a few years ago, and she's still doing great.
