I was just wondering who has received their AP exam scores and who is still waiting. I have heard of 2 people on here who have gotten theirs already. DS took the Statistics and Computer Science exams and I am waiting for his scores. (He says school is over, it doesn't matter but I am looking for the less expensive college credits.)

We received them here in Colorado last Friday (the 7th).

Good luck! I hate waiting, and they weren't even MY scores!

DS took the AP World History Test scores on May 6th. To date he has not received his score.

My DD got her scores last week. She had four 5s and one 4 on the tests that she took in May. Overall, she has scored a total of seven 5s and one 4 on her APs. I think that this will qualify her for around 30 hours of credit.

My DD got her score for her World History AP test last week. It was her first AP test and I am so proud for her!

I am assuming you all got them in the mail, not paying $$ to get them on the phone. Am I right?

Sorry; should have clarified. Yes, got ours by mail - no extra fees.

Holy Moses! That's awesome! Congrats to your DD! Quite an accomplishment! :thumbsup2

Carol~My SIL just got hers yesterday (and wasn't too thrilled)

I recieved my Human Geo on Monday in the mail.

My DS received his AP scores in the mail on Tues. He had already been contacted by his university as to his placement, so he already knew his scores before they arrived in the mail. Some of his friends were notified by their schools and some weren't. I think that they all received their scores on the same day. We're in Ohio.

BTW, I was very proud of my DS. It was a hard year, with many unfortunate circumstances that affected his AP classes this year. He did pretty well and we are happy.

My DS received his AP scores today. We were very pleased with his results - all 4's!

Correct. She got her scores on Wednesday of last week and told me about the results after refusing to open the results for a couple of days.

My son hasn't received his score (AP Environmental Science) but apparently his college has because they sent him a note confirming the credits (takes care of a core science requirement so he's happy.) They only accept 4 or 5 so it's at least a 4!

Wonder why it's taking so long for us to get it?

My DS didn't have to take 4 classes in college during his freshman year last year, and he won't have to take the Sophmore English sequence this coming year either! It leaves a nice gap in the schedule to take upper level courses for their major that are usually very interesting instead of the introductory classes.
Plus your right it saved us thousands!
Good Luck to all on your scores! I think it's great that high school students challenge themselves with AP's!

In the summer of 2004 when we went for DD's college orientation in mid to late July, they had her scores before we received them at home. DS had his orientation in June so we will just have to keep waiting.

My DD is having her orientation today and so they have the scores. I will be curious to see how much credit she ends up getting. My son is using his AP credits to swing a triple major. My DD may elect to try to get out in three years and get to graduate school faster.

That is an impressive accomplishment. Congratulations to your daughter!

For those parents of high achieving AP students, are you requiring your kids to use the scores to finish college early? I had enough AP credit to graduate a year early, but I never considered doing it. I liked college and when I graduated there were still many classes that I would have liked to have taken had I had the time.
