A/P expires on 1/29 - Questions about renewing

My AP expires on 1/29. Will be going to WDW in early January. How far in advance can I book park ressies? And max is 5 at a time???

I will be able to Park Hop after 2 PM, is that correct? Understanding that the park must have availability.

Also, I am not a FL resident. How much will my AP cost me? Something like $ 1200, including tax? And when I renew, do I have to go to Guest Services for anything?

What is the window to do my Park renewal? Any advantage of doing it prior to 1/29???

Park hopping is after 2, yes
Your AP renewal at this time is $1175.76, without Photopass or Waterpark options.
I just did DH's last Friday
You can renew 60 days in advance (starting), and up till 30 days after
No advantage to renewing early other than you beat any price increase
You renew right on the MDE website
You don't HAVE to go to GS for anything unless you want a new AP card

Yes, you must renew to book reservations, or call and a CM can do it for you if you need to book them prior to your renewal date. Since you can't renew prior to 60 days out

I have an AP that expires in early December. I renewed online at 60 days before expiration with no problem. Once I renewed I was able to make park reservations past the original expiration date.

So, I can renew now....but.....when does the renewal become effective? If I renew on November 10, and my current AP expires on 1/29, and I visit WDW on January 10, does my renewed AP expire on 1/29/24 or another date?????

It's a continual renewal
So it picks up on the day after your current pass expires.

Thanks.....so to head off any rate increase and to be able to make a park reservation for February and beyond, I think I will renew in the next week and get the park reservations that I need.

The park reservation thing is why I went on and renewed ours this week. We have a trip in December and ours expire in November

Your renewal window doesn't open until 11/30 which is 60 days before your current expiration date.

Yes it’s 5 days max unless you have a resort reservation. If staying onsite, you can make park reservations for your length of stay. And for all your onsite stays at the same time.

Ah, thanks for that heads up...I will go online and renew on the 30th.....lots of $$$$, but my DW and I enjoy WDW a whole lot. We love the festivals at Epcot....so much good food and entertainment. I greatly miss the Citizens of Hollywood at DHS. They were so funny. Don't see them ever coming back though. And Disney's biggest blunder was closing down the Comedy Warehouse and especially the Adventurer's Club....LOVED going to those two places. Pleasure Island was replaced by Disney Springs....shop, shop, shop.....eat, eat, eat.

Yes, renew as soon as you can. They can eliminate these altogether, if they want. I would renew as soon as possible if you know you want to renew. I don't see any point in waiting.

You might even be offered to pay it off in payments without interest. I got that offer on mine, also for my WDW hotel bill and for my R&C Fireworks Dining Package bill.
