a non "girly" tinkerbell?

Silly question I know, but my DS 2 year old has a crush on tinkerbell. I would love to get him one; however, dh doesn't want a "girly" one. Preferably, I would like it in stuffy form, but any suggestions would be appreciated.

And yes, I know dh's request is silly, but I still thought I would ask.

When DS was little, we bought a Barbie doll on our way to a hockey game to donate to Toys For Tots (they were collecting at the game that night and that was pretty much the only decent toy CVS had as we were walking up the street). DS got really upset that we actually gave it away, and wanted one for himself. DH didn't like the idea much and protested...LOTS, but I got one for DS anyway. You know what Barbie did most of the time he played with her? She got the job of driving the big giant plastic dump truck he had around the house. He also used pencils to pretend they were hockey sticks, and Barbie had a wicked slap shot, too. It was pretty funny. To him she was just another toy/action figure.

I'm sure a Tink stuffy wouldn't hurt. He's 2! Maybe one of the Pook-a-Looz ones. Not very girly, but cute all the same? He could carry it around and use it as a pillow.

OH, DS also used to have a crush on Cinderella. Now that he's 8 he totally denies it...

DD has the Disney Store plush version... http://www.disneystore.com/plush-toys-girls-tinker-bell-plush-doll/mp/1247953/1000267+1000763/ ... she actually has a few of those style dolls and LOVES them - they're easy to carry around, sleep & snuggle with, toss in the air, dance around, etc. I'm not sure if they fit the less-girly idea, or not, though... we only have girls.

The newer winter Tink from last year's movie is dressed in a cape, long tights and boots; she's got even more 'tude than usual. I don't think that they sold any toys with that outfit, however.

If you want something discreet, get him a keychain figure; he can carry it in his pocket.

What about the boy fairies. Terrance does not have the green outfit but he does have the blond hair maybe you could pass him off. Or what about the other two tinker fairies. They are both clothed in green like tink.

DD has the plush Tink frm the Disney Store. Maybe you can find like, cammo fatigues to put on her?

The Disney store has these cute "buddy" stuffed characters. Not sure if Tink is one of them, but you might want to check it out! They are not doll like, buy more cuddly like for a boy or girl. I wouldnt worry about scaring him for life if he wants to play with a doll anywayWhen my daughter wants to play with cars she plays with cars, but always favors her dolls and stuffys and my son loves to play with a cabbage patch doll I gave him, but as sweet as he can be he usually ends up banging the poor things head on the table and runs off to play Handy Manny My son also likes to put on my daughters dress up clothes and play tea party on occassion and we never made a big deal out of it. It is healthy for them to act out what they see mom and dad do at home and they like what they like for one reason or another.

I once told my mil that i wanted a boy baby doll, thinking blue clothes, something not girly. She gave him one with boy bits. Be careful what you ask for, I guess. Hope you find the match for your guy.

Here. The hair is a little scary, but you see where I'm coming from. I saw a set similar to this at KMart yesterday too.

I'm so glad you asked this! My son is 3 and he loves Tinkerbell. We're going to Disney World in January and he is so excited to see "Tinkerbell Castle".

If it makes you feel any better, my almost 7 year old still loves Tink.

My Dh agrees it's bc of the "hotness" factor as well, he just doesn't want DS to walk around with one that looks too barbie like, I guess. Silly, but it is what it is. Still no luck yet.

Hi the tink posted by pp is manufactured by a company called flair and it's more specifically their disney fairies range than a tinker belle range. Perhaps if you search fairies toys rather than tink you'd have more luck.
