Longtime DIS'er, Leota (Eileen), her hubby, Gary and son, Max, were visiting Chicago this week, lots of sightseeing, visiting some family friends too. Eileen had let me know she was going to be in town and asked if Marie and I could join the three of them for lunch one day. A quick check of schedules and all was set.
As it turned out, Gary was called back home this morning for a business crisis, so he was not able to be there (and I was really looking forward to meeting him too, darn it, having talked to him a bit in the past on the phone, but, work calls).
It was great seeing both Eileen and Max again, having previously met both at WDW, and for Marie to meet them both for the first time. We had a most enjoyable lunch and nice, relaxed conversation at a very nice downtown Cajun/Creole menued restaurant, Heaven on Seven. Neither Marie nor I had heard of it, though Eileen had eaten there on previous Chicago visits....takes an out-of-towner to show us locals the ropes, LOL. And it was GREAT. Very tasty, and HOT, truly Cajun.

Thought I would share a few pictures of the day (and just a few) (Marie told Eileen, as we parted ways, that I would probably have her up on the DIS before the night was over, LOL
)
Here is a picture of Eileen and Max, after our meal (notice a few hot sauces on the table.
)

A picture of the four of us, in front of the walls of hot sauces, ALL different!!!! I think we lined up, front row by height, and then me in back as usual, LOL. I couldn't believe how much Max had grown since I last saw him, about 2 years ago. And what a gentleman. Marie really enjoyed meeting Eileen (they both jabbered along just great
) and Max (he's no slouch in the talking department either).

And, as we left the restaurant, Eileen and Max headed up north on Michigan Avenue for a little more sightseeing, we headed back home. I took this one of our two friends, friends we have made through this little place we all call The DIS. Eileen and Max, in front of the Chicago Cultural Center, the AON Center (formerly Amoco Building) in the background (one of the Big 3....Sears Tower, Hancock and AON here in Chicago).

We all really enjoyed our afternoon together. I was happy to have Marie be able to meet another person, Leota, and her son, Max, who help make the DIS what it is, Family. A nice day indeed, thought I would share it.
(Oh, and regarding the couple DIS'ers in the subject line, the second one is Lady M.
