my family and i will be in DL June 5-12 and we would like to make a dining reservation for 2 nights in the parks or dtd. i need some input on some really good restaurants that have a good view or that stands out. by this time, i usually have all of my adrs lined up for our wdw trips and i will feel better to have that taken care of.
thanks,

Of course there aren't as many dining options for DL as WDW. But Blue Bayou is a don't miss. Try to get a water view. The Tratoria at DCA has great food and a very good price and it has a nice atmosphere. Napa Rose has the best quality IMHO

Ya no Shula's Steak House at DLR like WDW but the Blue Bayou should not be missed as the food is pretty good and the atmosphere and service is excellent. Personally I think the restaurants in Downtown Disney have better food than in the parks restaurants granted you avoid the food at ESPN Zone and Rainforest Cafe. The rest of the establishments on DD are for the most part pretty good and the selection is decent too.

yes, i agree with you on the dtd restaurants. the ones we have in wdw are so good! Raglan Road and Wolfgang pucks are my fav.

I couldn't get a last minute reservation at Blue Bayou on my trip last week because I also heard good things about it so can't add my support but I did eat at Storytellers Cafe in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and liked it a lot. The food, service and decor were all wonderful.

My favorite restaurant in the parks is The Vineyard Room at DCA - if you get a table along the edge of the restaurant you'll have a nice view of either the Pacific Wharf/Paradise Pier area, or looking out towards the Tower of Terror. Tables along the edge of the Trattoria also have an ok view. I'm not a big fan of the Blue Bayou - yes, the atmosphere is interesting, but the food is high-priced and not outstanding.

..and we all pretty much hated Napa Rose...Kinda funny..different tastes and all. I do vote for BB.

Vineyard Room is the best public access restaurant in the parks, IMHO. I will not go back to the Blue Bayou- the food is mediocre, making it better than the service. In the hotels we liked Granville's and I hear good things about Napa Rose. DTD... Ralph Brennan's is fun and the food is good but it is noisier and more casual than the others.

I recommend one nice, quiet, romantic dinner and one fun. Personally I'd do Vineyard Room and Goofy's Kitchen, but then character meals totally crack me up and laughing at the same stuff is part of why HusbandMan and I fell in love. GK is NOT a romatic hot spot. :rotfl:

now, is goofy's kitchen @ DLH? i also love the character meals and our 7yr dd likes the characters and pics. do they have a dinner too?

I'm interested in hearing about DL dining as well. I'm clueless as to where to book but have decided to probably make reservations at Blue Bayou if not for the food then the experience alone.

Yes, Goofy's Kitchen is at DLH and they do serve dinner. We actually prefer dinner at Goofy's Kitchen to their breakfast.

Blue Bayou is another must do for our family as well as Lilo & Stitch's character breakfast at PPH.

If you eat at the Trattoria, and get the latest possible reservation on the patio next to the wall, then you have excellent seats for the Electric Light Parade. We did this last year and it was one of the highlights of our trip!
