A Newbie Dec. Trip Report - I meet the Dancing Champ!!

Great countdown calendar....what cute kids in their outfits.

Aviva is counting down the days and so exciting to stay at BCV..she cannot wait for the lazy river...hope it is warm enough.

I will check out your pre-trip next! Thanks for joining mine! I hope I can help you with things and vice versa. Yes, I love going for 10 days. A week never seems like enough time. I can't believe I am finally at a month out!

10 days is a great length. I agree that a week is not really enough time if you also want to relax a little.

I'm trying 13 nights/14 days this trip. I hope I don't love that many days too much or it will be hard to go back.....

Boy, life is crazy when you are planning a Disney trip!! I don't have as much time to get on this as I would like. But I have an update.

Guess what!!!!!!!

My dh and I just planned a solo trip to Disney in June!! I am beyond excited! We have annual passes...we have DVC points....we have a DDE card....and we are driving. It is a no brainer!!

My in-laws live in Charleston, SC. We are going to drive there in June spend a few days and drop the kids off to them! We are then going to drive to Disney on Monday June 23rd and then drive back Thursday June 26th. Three full days in Disney with no kids!! I don't know what I am going to do! We are trying to convince a couple friend of ours to meet us down there. Hope it works out!

So, I now have three Disney trips on the horizon! (We are going as a family in Oct. 08) This is so much fun!

That is my update! I am really busy because we are celebrating my grandma's 85th birthday this weekend. I have family coming from all over and people staying at my house until it POPS! Once I get this weekend over, I will have two weeks until Disney and will be on major packing and planning mode. I will post some pics from the big shindig when we the weekend is over.

Thanks to my three or four loyal readers! You mean a lot to me!

I love the countdown calendar! My kids fight a little about who gets to mark off the days. We are taking turns! It helps them get really excited. I hope the weather is warm enough too. I can't wait to try out stormalong bay! Thanks for reading! I hope we run into each other at BCV!

14 days!! That is my dream! I stayed 10 days last trip and it was perfect. I just feel like there is too much to get done in a week's time. We might have to go down to a week in the coming years though. Pulling my son out of school for longer than that might be too much! Thanks for reading!

Oh, the kids were adorable in their outfits!!

At Downtown Disney you can build your own lightsaber! They give you the option of being a "Jedi" or a "Sith". Our DS built his own lightsaber and got a "Jedi" button. He then went around looking for kids who chose "Sith" to duel with his lightsaber. It was really funny! Your DS might want to try this!

I'm so excited for you guys! It is almost here! Good luck!

Enjoying your report so far!! We are currently counting down to our trip in June, but after that we are planning December '08...don't you just love those DVC points and annual passes???!!! The December trip will be our first to see the decorations and do the Christmas activities, so I will live vicariously through you for now.

I love, love , love the countdown !!!:cool1: My kids are older and would think I had lost my mind! I miss those days when they thought those things were cool. They are even making fun of me for buying window clings for the window of our resort.:sad1: Don't get me wrong..They love Disney . But at all costs they must be cool.

I am so jealous of you being DVC and going again in June! ( and without kids )
As soon as you get back, before unpacking, laundry, bill paying etc... You must begin your trip report. I can't wait to hear about all the holiday happenings, Le Cellier and Breakfast at O'Hanas.

Subscribing so I can read later when I have more time.

Thank you for your comment about my kids! I think they are pretty cute too! I know about the lightsaber. He is saving Disney Dollars to build it! He is very excited. Reagan wants to get the My Little Pony stuff at DD. We will be at Saratoga Springs so we will be spending lots of time at DD.

I love DVC!! It is probably the best decision we ever made! We bought our points in November 2006 and this is our first trip home. Can't wait to use them! We did go to Hilton Head this summer though. That was wonderful! I can't wait to see all the decorations and the Christmas shows. I have been reading up on them the last few days nonstop!

I love the Countdown calendar too! The kids get up every morning and mark it off! 11 more days! Can't believe it. I will be sad when they are old enough not to want to count down. However, then we can ride all the rides together and not have to child swap. :)

I will try and post my report right away. However, I am not doing great with this pre-trip report. I read the disboards everyday but don't ever have enough time to post an update. I swear though I won't abandon this.

Hey - I saw your husband over on TGM! Love that site. I am tanmansmom over there!!

I will be posting an update tonight!

OK! So I promise that I won’t take forever on my trip report updates like I have with my pre-trip report ones. I seriously need to keep everyone more informed! I got through my grandma’s 85th birthday party celebration! It was a lot of fun but I am seriously old! My cousins were in town from Oregon for a three day weekend. We never went to bed before 1:00 am. That is hard on this body! Especially since I had kids to wake up to in the morning while they slept and slept! Ah, to remember being young and childfree!

As promised, her as a picture of my grandma on her 85th! I bought her that big pink boa as a surprise! She loved it! My uncle Roger, my mom, and my uncle Ronnie are in the picture with her. I never took a picture of myself with her. Of course!

So, the weekend is through and what did I do this week? Serious, Disney packing and planning! I worked on my day to day park touring. I am serious about knowing where to go when. I don’t like standing there in the parks and saying “So, what should we do now?” We did that on our first trip and got nothing accomplished! I will post my finished park touring plan in my next post.

I also spent some time buying things for the trip. I got the kids these Disney sweatshirts at the Disney store. 2 for $25! I am planning on having them every evening in case the coldness comes in!

I also bought them two new Disney Sing along DVDs. We borrowed one last road trip to WDW and they loved it!! So I decided to buy them this time. I went on Amazon and got Disney's Sing Along Songs - Beach Party at Walt Disney World and Disney's Sing Along Songs - Very Merry Christmas Songs. I am hoping that will keep them entertained for the 12 hour trip! I also printed out a trip ticket from AAA for the trip. Basically, go four miles from my house and get on 295 then get on 95 and take it for 700 miles!! Not to hard!

My dd princess: was dying for me to start packing. So today we packed her up! I have a great tip for packing little kids. Always, pack their outfits in Ziploc bags. I have done it every trip!! It takes up less room so you can get lots of stuff in there. It also is there for them to just grab in the morning. She has a pair of underwear, shorts, top and socks in each bag. Viola! She has a matching outfit in morning. I have packed seven shorts outfits, three pants and long sleeves outfits, a bag of four pairs of pjs and a bag of three bathing suits in that suitcase! Did you think you could get so much in such a small suitcase? Check it out…..

I also bought myself a pair of Crocs this week! I have never worn them because they look so ugly but I thought I would try it. My kids love them!! I have never tried them on even. I put them on in the store and understood why people rave about them. I have now been converted to Crocs! They are still ugly though!

So, I promised a picture of my nephew, Jaiden, who has never been to Disney World. I can’t wait to show him the magic in store! He is spending the night right now with my son. I ran up and took their picture. Here are the most handsome boys in the world!

So that is it for an update! Hopefully, that makes up for the long absence!
I have 11 days till we leave! Almost to single digits! We also have Thanksgiving next week with dinner at my house! I will then, of course, be up bright and early (4:30 am) for my favorite holiday – Black Friday!!!! I then have the most important football game on Saturday to attend – UVA vs VT! It is our year to be the living tar out of VT! So with all that going on Disney will be here before I know it!!!:cheer2:  :cool1:

My touring plans....I decided not to post every day. That would be a long, long post. I also use a lot of TGM tips and don't want to give them away. I take these touring plans and I put each day on an index card. I then laminate them and put a hole in the top. I put them on a key ring and attach it to my backpack. Therefore, I have it all there to look at. I know...I'm anal!

Here is my first day touring plan - Mk!

Well, the weekend flew and I am now 2 days away from leaving. In 72 hours, I will be watching Spectro and Wishes!!!

I am crazy busy now packing! I have bought things for this trip for the last six months. Now I am frantically trying to remember where I placed all the things. I should have been smart and put them in one place. Tip for next time!

Tomorrow, my dd is in school until 12:00 and my ds is in school all day! I have to run to my grandma's and show my friend how to take care of her cat, then on to get a pedicure and manicure (can't run around in flip flops with my toes now!), then off to get Body Glide (this stuff is great for preventing blisters!). My son should be coming home with all his schoolwork he is missing. Can't wait to see that tremendous pile! I will then gas up the car and clean it all out. I am just hoping I can sleep the next two nights. Might have to take some Tylenol PM!

I will be dreaming Disney Dreams!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I leave TODAY!! :yay: :cool1: In exactly an hour to be exact! The van is all packed up and gassed up! Reagan and I are ready! We are just waiting for DH to come home from work. We will then grab Tanner at school and take off! We hope to be in Jacksonville around 10:00 tonight. We will then try and sleep and wake up bright and early for the rest of the way to Beach Club Villas!!

I am so excited! I booked a Boardwalk View Studio today for our solo trip in June! I am so happy that I can come back from this vacation and start thinking about ADRs for our June trip!

I will have a laptop done there and will try and do some updates for my few readers!

Off to Disney I go!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm jealous too! And you're going back so soon! Maybe we'll bump into each other in 5 days:hourglass

Hope to see you there- Britt

We are having an absolute wonderful time! This is our first time staying at Beach Club and it has lived up to every expectation. This resort has taken my breath away! We just got back from a morning at Epcot. We walked over to the World Showcase entrance at 8:20 for our ADRS for the Princess Breakfast. We were the first through the turnstiles and my kids got a tinkerbell pin and a certificate for being the first! We then walked over to Norway and had Canda and the UK all to ourselves! Beautiful! We had a great breakfast with the princesses! We then went to TT at about 9:20 and standby was 5 minutes! We child swapped and Daddy took T while I took R to the kidcot. When they were out, I rode it with T. We FPed TT before we rode it and when we got off we were able to FP Mission Space. We then walked over to Seas with Nemo (no wait) and walked right into the next show of TT with Crush! We saw the Dolphin Show on the top floor! Not to be missed....great! It was time to head back for our Mission Space trip! Daddy took Reagan to Innoventions and Tanner and I rode MS! Loved this ride!! I had never rode it before......what a thrill! It is now my all time favorite! We then used our FPs to ride TT again! We then meet Reagan and Daddy when we came out. Of course, Daddy had bought her a minnie and pin! She has him wrapped around her little finger. By that time, it was 12:00 and we were done for the day. We will be riding Soarin a lot when Mimi and Grandma come so we decided not to do that again. We came back and swam at Stormalong Bay! Great fun! Reagan is now napping!

This is a great time at WDW! No crowds!! Yesterday, at MK everything was no more than 20 minute standby waits! My dh and ds rode Splash Mountain twice in a row without waiting while I kept seats for Spectro outside of Pecos Bill!! I didn't need to though because at 7 pm I still didn't have anyone sitting on either side of me! Great....watch Spectro there! Great tip! Also, use FPs and get at parks at rope drop! So worth it!

Having a great time!

Glad you're having a great time! And it's good to hear that the waits aren't bad since I'll be there next week! And the weather must be good if you're swimming:cool1:
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
