Here I am! The trip report starts here! I have been back since Sunday but things are of course crazy. Yes, lets go in December but not do any Christmas shopping before hand. I am slammed now! My son also missed eight days of school so we have been literally doing three hours of homework a night to catch up. Hes only in first grade! Hate to see next year when he is gone for seven days! Oh well!
Does anyone know how I change the title of this report to say that the TR has started?! I also have a new title I want to put of an exciting thing that happened!!
Our trip started on Tuesday Nov. 27th. We picked up Tanner from school at noon and were off! Man that is a long drive. We got to Jacksonville around 9:00 pm. We checked into our hotel and got in our pjs and the kids and DH were out. I, of course, stayed up dreaming Disney dreams.
We set a wake up call for 6:00. Guess what time I woke up? Yes, 5:30. I was in the shower and getting ready! We were out the door by 6:30 and back on I 95! I dont want to see that highway for at least three months now! We set our Garmin for Yacht and Beach Club and were on our way! We pulled up to Beach Club at 9:00 am. I absolutely loved this resort. It was so beautiful. I feel in love at first sight. This is our first trip as DVC members so we enjoyed the perks of free valet parking and chec king in at the Villas desk. Our room was not ready yet. We checked our bags with the bell service and went to eat a quick breakfast at the quick mart. We got our food and sat outside looking at the greenery around us. I was so happy to be in Disney World! We then debated what to do next. We decided to head to MK. We got on a bus and were on our way! Our first park! Reagan was so excited to see Cinderellas castle!
Reagan has been talking forever about wanting to ride Dumbo and the Carousel. We got to MK around 10:30. Chris headed to Big Thunder to get fast passes and I took the kids to the horses! Reagan was so happy! Here is her pic on her first Disney ride!
Tanner having fun riding the horses!
We then headed to see Philharmagic! Love that show! It is pure Disney! Reagan wouldnt wear the glasses last year and wont wear them this year either! Hopefully, next year she will understand those glasses!
She wanted to ride Dumbo but I cant stand waiting in line. That ride is a must do first thing in the morning or it wastes half the day standing in line. I promised her next time we would ride it.
We decided to grab a lunch at Columbia Harbor House. I like to eat lunch at counter services before 11:45 because between 11:45 and 1:00 those places are crazy! It was about 11:30 and the Columbia House was not crowded! Yes! The food was pretty good too. At lunch, we got a call that our room was ready. We decided to ride Big Thunder with our FPs and then head back to our room. We child swapped Reagan and Tanner and I rode BTTM. Tanner loves this ride! This was his first time riding a rollercoaster at Disney. This was a trend for him he loved the big thrill rides! Chris and he then rode it again. Reagan loved to just run around me while we waited for Tanner to get off his rides. Here she was being "Queen of the Rock."
We then grabbed FPs for Splash to ride when we came back this evening.
We headed back Beach Club. The bus was right there when we came out! We had absolutely no problem with the buses during our stay at either Beach Club or Saratoga. We never waited more than 15 minutes for a bus. I had read horror stories but our experiences were great.
Our room was on the second floor and looked towards Epcot. We could see the top of the Eiffel tower.
It was a very quiet room. We were in a studio for this stay but were moving to a one bedroom on Saturday in Saratoga. We called for our bags and they had them up in about 10 minutes. We put our stuff away and enjoyed a little break. We then had to head back to MK for our reservations at Crystal Palace. I will post our dinner and our night at MK later.
How did Reagan do with the characters? Where was Pooh? Stay tuned
