:wave2: Welcome to the August dieting thread, how is everyone getting on ?

Please share with us how much you have lost since you started getting healthier, if you have been following a dieting plan and how much you are hoping to lose

Welcome to any newbies, it's not too late to join in as there is lots of advice, encouragement and enthusiasm on here ::yes::

I can't believe that in the next month or so I could be changing this thread to 'How to be a Christmas Cracker' thread :santa: :rotfl2:

:wizard: Good Luck over the next month everyone :wizard:

I've been very bad food wise ;) and need to get back on track , too many cream teas and ice creams what about everyone else?

You're allowed to be a little naughty on holiday Andrea, I don't think I would've been able to pass on cream teas either ;)

I have had a bad few months diet wise too, but with 12 weeks till my 25th Wedding Anniversary and 22 weeks till my big '5 0' birthday, my diet starts tomorrow with a weigh-in I am really not looking forward to

:wizard: Good Luck everyone :wizard:

After doing quite well on my Discovery Cove Wetsuit Diet (courtesy of WW) I am sorry to say that I have fallen off the wagon in dramatic fashion.

Up until November I was going really well and had lost over a stone and all my health checks were looking really positive. I then started working overtime on the morning of my meeting and was attending less and less. Then I thought I would save the £20 a month towards our holiday but carry on at home. Christmas came and went and not too much damage. I had my 6 month check up in February and although my weight and blood sugars had increased slightly it was put down to Christmas indulgence. Fast forward to now and I am more or less back to where I started this time last year :guilty: and my next check up is due at the end of this month. I shall have to put it off until we come back from Florida but I'm dreading it as I know it won't be pretty.

I toyed with the idea of re-joining WW a few weeks ago but decided to wait until after our holiday.

So, come September I will be enrolling (yet again, sighs heavily) and really hope that this time it will be the last time.

Mandy, I will be the first to sign up to your Christmas Crackers thread in September, promise!

Wishing everyone else a good weight loss month!

Hi all!

I'm really sorry I've been absent for a few months. I don't really have a good reason either, just purely that life has got in the way of me keeping up with all my Disney friends. I'm hopefully now back though and am determined to stay around as long as possible. I caught up on a few TRs yesterday evening and I've missed it here so much!

As for my weight, I've been lazy recently and I've also been comfort eating! Too much chocolate, ice cream and biscuits have been consumed recently and the scales have crept back up. At my last weigh in (last Monday) I'd put on 11lb in total from my lightest weigh in. My first goal is to shift this, starting today! Once I've done that I'd like to aim for another 6lb off and see how I look/feel before deciding if I need to lose more.

My friend at work and I have made a pact to go to our gym on our lunch breaks, this was supposed to start today but I've managed to forget my socks and she left her gym kit on the doorstep in the rain! I guess we'll have to postpone until tomorrow.

Good luck everyone! X

And she has referred me to the weight clinic. As I work for the nhs we apparently get free WW vouchers if your bmi is over 30. Well mine is 32. I am disgusted with myself. Iv had surgery on my veins so I havent been at work where I tend to work a lot of the chocolate off lol!!
I am in the right frame of mind but hope im not hungry on WW. My friend says she is always hungry on it but she has lost 7lb in 2weeks and only has lb till target. Well Im going to clinic friday. Fingers crossed

Slimming world I am really enjoying it. I tried weight watchers but always felt hungry towards the end of the day x

Hi Back again :lmao:

I've followed the 5:2 diet for a year and have maintained the initial 8lb loss but decided I wanted to loose a stone before my hols in October - knowing I will put half back on! :sad2:

I too was hungry on WW a few years ago so I joined Slimming World last week as my brothers joined recently and have both lost over 3 stone and said it was really easy.

The last time I did slimming world it was red and green days and never the twain should meet - boy how different it is now and so so easy!

To be honest I've eaten a lot this week just to test the plan works :confused3 :lmao: and I have my first weigh in tonight. :scared1:

Well done everyone!

I stayed the same this week, probably my hols catching up with me. Back to business this week. My next goal is to try and get another stone off for my birthday in October.

Good luck for the week ahead folks.

Hello every one,

I stayed the same this week too. I am actually pleased as for my 3 day weekend I ate what ever I want. Back on track today though. :) hope to report back next Monday with at least a 2lb loss :)

Well done everyone!

Pleased to report a small loss here too. Quite surprised as ended up with fish & chips on Saturday night and had costa coffee, cake and ice cream yesterday!
Back to the norm in the office today though and no social get togethers planned where naughty food gets eaten!
Hopefully another loss will happen next week!

X

Forgot to report in Friday morning - 2.5lbs lost :cool1:

I was a bit disapppointed if I'm honest as I was expecting more for my first week but I've hardly felt like I've been dieting so will stick at it.

Good luck this week everyone
