A new ticket price survey...

I just got a new ticket price survey with options from Universal. I hope this is not all they offer next year, I made sure to comment that without the 7 day ticket we most certainly would not come and stay for a week.

Only 1 and 2 day tickets from this. Maybe I'll upgrade the rest of the family to annual passes, but I'm not sure Universal will be in the budget next year.

I got the survey too. I also commented that if they raised the prices like that and did not offer the 7 day ticket we would not visit Universal either. We enjoy staying onsite and spending a week at Universal so that we enjoy the hotel pool as well as riding our favorite rides. When we stay a week after spending a week at Disney, we are really relaxed when we go home.

I received the same survery, it said that this was just a scenario and this didnt' reflect what the prices would be in the future. But glad I am a AP holder now.

Although I have an AP, I'm expecting steep increases (tickets, hotels, food) to coincide with next summer's Harry Potter grand opening.

Do you really think they will increase that much? They really haven't increased much over the last few years. I already have tickets this year that I bought for last year. I have been thinking about buying the seasonal pass for this trip and saving the tickets for next year. Something to think about I guess.

I got the survey too and commented that I hoped they kept the 7 day unlimited ticket. I wouldn't go without it either.

If a two day Park Hopper is going to run $144 bucks you better beleive our delicious AP's are going to take a big hike too.

if you recall when you took that survey, you could figure out what the price for the AP could be projected to.


remember when they said in the survey it only cost $xx.xx a month for one year if you bought the ap?


i don't know if we are allowed to quote what was given to us in that survey.
therefore, i used xxx for the amount they listed.


the 7 day passes have not been around that long.

for quite a few years, the passes were for 5 days and cost more than the 7 day passes are going for now.



i would have posted sooner but still getting the 503 code and unable to open many threads that are new.

I wish I had paid more attention when I took the survey so I could see what the annual passes might go for if they did indeed raise the prices to what they showed in the survey.

I also got the survey, and not only was I unhappy about the increased price for a two-day and lack of a seven day, I commented about the structure of the two day. It was either day one at US and day two at IOA, or day one at US and day two at either park. I don't remember a ticket option that allowed us to go back and forth between parks, but I might just not be remembering it.

I do expect a price increase when HP opens, but eliminating the 7-day is a bad idea. I'm sure I'll want to spend more than two days at Universal, and I don't want to have to buy multiple tickets. I guess I need to buy the Costco tickets before they stop carrying them.

While I also was unhappy with the options they showed, we all need to keep in mind that these are all theoretical and not final. While I'm sure they are leaning more towards these prices and tickets, they are not the final decision as stated in the survey itself.

The ticket prices may have gone down these past few years, but once Harry Potter opens the prices are going to SKY-ROCKET! I'm sure everyone knows how ridiculously big of a phenomenon Harry Potter is, people who were otherwise uninterested in Universal will be coming from far and wide to see the new attractions. A lot of family friends of ours who are DVC members and never even considered going to Universal how kids who are now counting down the days until next summer. It wouldn't make sense for them not to raise the prices, although I don't know if we'd visit again if they did.

I did not get a survey on this one, but did a while back. They are probably doing like Disney, wanting everyone to get an Annual.. in the long run, guest will save money.. since it works out cheaper. For some it actually does, for some it doesn't. It is a no brainer for an AP if a 7 day is $144... unless they raise the price of an AP to $350 (for some that is...me I live 2.5 hours away.. AP is the way to go for me)

I fully expect prices to go up but I hope that they don't go up too much and that the 7 day ticket will still be available. Whatever happens, I'm sure that I'll pay it though. Gotta have my Universal fix!

To my knowledge, you could buy the passes this year and use them in 2099!

As long as you don't activate the tickets at the gate, the tickets do not expire.

i guess I'm gonna have to buy a lot of 7 day passes right now before these prices skyrocket.

is there a maximum you can buy per credit card?
