A new "Slipper" question - need advice

We're going to be at the Castle for Christmas dinner and for breakfast the day after. We're going to 1900 PF a couple of days later for breakfast.

So -- anybody have advice for me as to whether or not I could get a "slipper" at either of those 2 places or 3 times? Yes, we are on the dining plan. And no, I don't care how much extra it costs - it is one of the very few things DD12 has ever really been enthused over as far as Disney dining.

Up til this trip, we've only ever done character meals (except CRT because I could never get a res) and CS places. We spent a long time on the allears menus before it was time to plan ADRs, and then "bam" the slipper seemed to disappear. I haven't even told her its no longer available yet, because I kept hoping to read a thread that someone had gotten it. (ok, seen a few where people want to order one).

So -- advice, please. Should I plead my case with Disney Dining and hope I don't get a less-than-knowledgeable CM? Should I just order one to go from GF? Does anybody know if it's even available at the Castle?

It was discontinued. There was just an overwhelming demand for it and with the free dining plan that was out this fall, everyone was ordering it. I have not heard that it is available again. Sorry! Maybe someone knows different.

I'm not sure but I think there is a bakery at GF that can make them. You may need to order it in advance though. Good luck!

hello i think you may have to make an ADR for a GF restaraunt (even the tea room, it can be light dining and inexpensive) in order to order anything from the GF bakery now. Maybe they make them someplace else as well I'm not sure.GF bakery will no longer allow pickup take outs even with a credit card pmt in advance. I know when you call to order you will need to give them your AR # as well as a C/C they will arrange to have it ready after your meal. Hope this helps you. Thanks for update about the GF requiring a reservation to order anything to go. Guess I'll try to get it either "for" breakfast or for take out after.

I read on here recently that if you're eating at a GF restaurant (like the GF Cafe), you may pre-order the slipper dessert from the GF bakery. It's $14. You must call the bakery though and give them your ADR for the restaurant and they will have it ready.

Yep I ate at the castle when I was there over a week ago and there was no slipper. I even asked about it! I'm glad I know I can ask about it though, hopefully they'll still have it when I got next sept.
