A new "low" at our school

either I was out of the loop & clueless (very likely!) or they didn't do senior pranks at my school. This is the 1st I've heard of them....we had senior skip day -that's it & nowadays kids can't skip 'cause if they miss too many days they'll have to take their exams & who the heck wants to do that!?

We had this happen at our school about 10 years ago----students had planted about 6-8 trees along the front of the school and when they were about 10 feet tall someone(everyone heard who it was--several older students in the school but no 'actual' proof) came along and cut them a foot from the ground!

They grew back and now are starting to look like something but I just keep thinking that they would have been so nice for students to enjoy sitting under the shade all these years past and the appearance of the school looked terrible for several years until they started growing enough to look like something.

Just such a stupid, mindless thing to do.....

There is an unwritten senior prank "code" at our HS: No animals can be invoved, nothing where anyone can get hurt, and nothing that would give the custodians extra work. We had a graduating class break the rules 2 years ago. They cut trees down on the campus as well, put nails in the parking lot-not too smart because a lot of their friends' cars had flat tires because of this, and cemented a lawn mower to the floor outside the cafeteria. The kids were caught, and they missed prom, the graduation ceremony, and the all-night graduation party.

Wow! What is wrong with these kids?
We have gone from For sale signs in the school yard to cutting down trees!

There is something terribly wrong here.

BTW-not a school prank but kids at Centerburg High School here in Ohio were not allowed to have a graduation ceremony. It seems some kid hacked into the computers, found three tests that were to be given in the last weeks of school. He copied them and handed them out to friends.(Cheating)
When it was found out, they cancelled graduation. Many parents were angry, but a few were proud that their administrators stood for honest and integrity.
No word yet on the culprit other than he will have to take summer school.
The parents held a graduation ceremony for the kids at a local park.

I think it was last year that the seniors put a for sale ad in the newspaper. The office received many calls. LOL

Talk of other pranks classes wanted to do was bring a couple cows up to the 4th floor. I guess cows can't climb down stairs.

Our school has a catwalk that connects the 2 buildings. The kids wanted to gather up slews of cats and let them loose on "the catwalk". I thought that was hysterical.

Haven't heard about this year yet.

Cutting down the tress though is just in poor taste. I really hopes it comes back that it wasn't the kids.
