Is the OP pulling our leg? Since the OP hasn't returned, we'll never know. Maybe just trolling for funny discussion.

OK I think I know what happened to the OP...She saw her friend at that B-day party he was going to be at.. and found out that her friend purchased another timeshare by mistake.... thinking it was DVC....She started laughing so hard and has not stopped.... till this day she is still having a laughing fit so bad... that she can not even type a reply...cause she cant see the computer screen through the tears in her eyes.. :rotfl2:

We took our tour on Friday and were told that the price per point now was protected if we choose to buy additional points at a later date- so the $93 incentive would be what we paid later as well. We were told we had to buy a minimum of 25 which would be a cash purchase, and at 50 it could be financed.

It just doesn't make sense that the price per point is frozen forever-even if it is an add-on. :confused3
I'm sure we're not the only ones who have paid higher prices per point on our add-ons over the years.

Of course, I'd love to know which guide is offering this option, since I'd love to be able to do my next add-on at the last price per point we paid, or better yet, the first price per point we paid 8 years ago.

I think he bought at another resort. Lots of people don't know the difference. To them, anywhere in Orlando is "at Disney." Many of my family members don't understand the whole off-site versus on-site thing.

::MinnieMo This story made me LOL! Talk about a "Mouse-Tale". Like any good story, I have to know how it ends. Please let me posted.

Where I work had been asking me about my vacation plans for this year , told them about DVC . Little bit O' time goes by and someone from another dept comes by and ask me if I bought at DVC , he says him too. He bought VWL first year . BUT This isn't where he tells me he bought he tells me he bought at Fort Wilderness vacation club. When I ask him if its VWL he says nope its FWvc. He also says he loves that he can choose any week he wants , I say I love that you don't even have to go for a week but long weekends too. He says " You can??? I thought you had to go sat - sat . UUGGHHHH HOW can you buy something and not know what your getting!!!!!!!

At the time I was to aggravated to correct him , I will find him out shortly and teach him about DVC

My co-worker bought at Villa's at Wilderness Lodge , at least this is where I figures it out to be. I'm just hoping his wife handles all the DVC details otherwise I have no idea how he made it this far with it

This is the craziest thing I have ever heard, but I thought I would share with all of you. A friend of ours just returned from Disney and bought into a 'new' Disney Vacation Club. He claims it's a special they are running for the 20-year anniversary of DVC. Here's what he said:

- he bought 160 points but he is guaranteed that the price to buy additional points WILL NOT increase for the next 10 years should he need to purchase additional points
- his dues are $600 per year and will remain at that price for the next 10 years even if he buys additional points within that time
- he bought the last week of Nov and first week of Dec but doesn't have to stay during that time, if he changes weeks he may only book 3 months out
- expires in 54 years

LOL, this is hysterical. Maybe he was hallucinating...I have no idea. We have been members for 6 years and know DVC very well, but when he came up with this story at the 4th of July party yesterday it was pretty funny! He's the type of person that no matter what he's always right! I finally told him I think he was scammed! WOW

M*M :)

I for one would like to thank MINNIE MOUSE for just having to share this with us. (red line above) :lmao: SINCE SHE DID NOT RESPECT US ENOUGH TO FINISH THE STORY :goodvibes

its been to long getting NO answer. If for some reason you can't answer maybe due to sickness or other I am very sorry :grouphug:

but this did keep some of us busy for awhile.

I can only think of one reason you won't answer us. THE DEAL YOUR FRIENDS GOT LOOK SO GOOD TO YOU THAT YOU DECIDED TO BUY SOME OF THOSE PTS YOURSELF :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

ANYWAY ENJOY YOUR NEW RESORT PTS

PS: I did tell MICKEY and he is really ticked. He said he's going to tell his GOOFY friend.

I say we finish this story on our own. Best ending wins a free all expense paid trip to DW. Minnie will be paying if you can get a hold of her.

So after chatting with her co-worker again, Minnie discovers he didn't actually buy DVC points. He was one of the first winners of the new Disney promotion "Year of a Million Dreams" and he was able to purchase a time share at the Castle. He can use his points just like DVC, but he can only stay in the castle.

When I wake up I'll come up with something more exciting :thumbsup2

Minnie last posted on the creative community thread on 7/31/06 - maybe that gives us a hint.... :confused3
