After this week the pic in my sig will become obsolete. Me and the Mrs went to the RV show in Novi today and I cracked under the pressure. So now the clan will be camping in style with our new Keystone Outback Sydney edition 32BHDS. We had been online shopping for a while now and didnt have the right numbers to pull the trigger, after they threw the numbers down it worked out better than we thought so we signed on the dotted line.
I will post pics when we finally get it home and start getting it ready for Christmas at the fort. :cool1:

Awesome!! You go Bigdisneydaddy:cool1: I've seen those Outbacks and they look very cool!! I'm sure you will have great family memories in your new camper!

The 27ft with no slides was getting a little cozy with 3 teenage boys in it plus me and the disneymom.

Thanks, I cant wait to get pics and show it off.

Congrats !! :thumbsup2 We were planning on going to the Novi show too...but my knees are still too sore from doing the Breast Cancer 3 Day last weekend. We are going to hit the one at Ford Field in Jan/Feb. We have a new motorhome, but I like checking out all the accessories. :)

Congrats! I looked up the floorplan and that has the possibilities to sleep all my kids! I can't wait to see it. Now, can you transfer your signs on the outside of your old home to your new one? If not, how are we possibly going to find you?:confused3 :rotfl2:

YaY Scott!!! Who's "another day older & deeper in debt"! But new camping equipment is well worth the pain of another payment (IMHO)!!!

I hope you get a lot of use, good times & great memories out of you new "home"!! :thumbsup2

Congrats!!!! I think it is always fun getting something new. Hope you have many great trips! :thumbsup2

Congratulations! We love our Outback. We purchased it a little over a year ago after we found out Baby #3 was coming.

Congrats :cool1:  . What dates over Xmas are you going to be there. Can't tell from your avatar, but what's your tow vehicle. We were recently looking at the Keystone Cougar series in the 32' range, but were disappointed in the lack of real closet space especially for coats and things longer than shirts. The wife really liked the I think "Springdale" line of conventional built trailers and fell totally in love with the 34"+ one with the bedroom slide and LR/Dinette slide for the drawers, closets and even table in the bedroom, but that thing is just too long for me to tow w/o a $3K Hensley hitch, won't fit along side our home and about 1500 lbs more than I would want to tow with my E-350 7.3L Van. I'm also really stuck on getting a full aluminum framed trailer because of the trouble we have had with our current Fleetwood Prowler and after having something for over 25 years, it's hard to teach these old dogs new tricks.

We tow with a Chevy Duramax crew cab 2500HD. The weight of the trailer is well within the tow limit on my truck, even after adding in the weight of all our junk I am still a few thousand under the max.
The new unit has considerably more storage space than our current unit but I am sure at some point we will wish we had more. When we got the TT in our sig, it seemed so huge. Now that our boys are 17 and 14 and the young man that travels with us is 15 it has gotten quite crowded. We were to the point that one of them would sleep in a tent or in the back of the pickup (it has a carpeted fiberglass cap on it)
With the new trailer everyone will have their own bed without having to use the dinette.

You may want to check out Outbackers.com as they have a mod thread with great ideas.

Congratulations! That looks like a fabulous new home - there's almost enough room for all of us to tag along. :rotfl:

When you were figuring the weight, did you add in the beer too? That may push you over your limit.

I am envious, but very happy for you, too, Scott. Looking forward to the pictures and the day when we can meet and tip one back together.

I calculate in the weight of the beer before adding in fuel or people, that way I can adjust my fuel load or people count so as to not adversely impact the beverage count. ;) If past experience is any indicator I wont need to carry as much since people have been bringing me beer at the Fort !
I dont have any repeat offers yet though, I may be more entertaining on the boards than I am in real life.

If we arent careful they may turn this board into an intervention and have it become an AA site....:lmao:

If you run short on weight, we talked about making your companions go Greyhound.....
