It is such a hard age. All she asked me for was make up.... To me she is too young to wear make up, she does wear it on stage when she dances, but not daily...


I just can't bring myself to buy it for her.

Have you considered getting her some perfume and lip gloss? There is also some of the bronzing powder......close enough to make up without all the colour.

I got her some finger nail polish a little set with glitter colors, and some flavored lip gloss, all different "Soda" flavors, but I might look at getting her some powder, that is a good idea. but i think i should ask her mom first....

perfume, would be a good choice too...

She is 11 but going on 20...


Really she is 11, but she is 5' 4" and reads and writes at a 10th grade level, and does math at an 11th grade level. She is in the gifted and talented school, making 100's on everything.

She is just not your typical 11 year old.

She is also in a dance troupe and wears stage make up all the time, but not on everyday..

Does she wear hair ribbons with her dance costumes? If so you may find some hair ribbons. Or is there something she wanted associated with dance costumes. You could ask her mom.

I have an eleven year old as well. She skipped a grade because she is so smart and sounds a lot like your daughter. I got her some nano block sets. Do you think your daughter would be into those?

I had to go look up what those were... They seem pretty cool, small and intricate.

She is my grand..... but I am very proud of her.
