A new Bump thread!

Well, a delay in getting the digging started so no "gold" yet! :rotfl:

And to make things more complicated, my mother has been hospitalized with low blood pressure and will probably need a pacemaker inserted on either Monday or Tuesday. But my wonderful sister is heading up there to be with her and I will visit after she has surgery.

Guess you all are going to be afraid to open the BUMP thread and read my postings for fear of 'catching' something crazy in your lives! :lmao:

Kathy - I thought we agreed to stop at 3!

So sorry. Hope things are okay with you. :grouphug:

Thanks again; seems like I'm always posting only bad news....

DH was hospitalized again last night with high fever and shortness of breath; started even before the antibiotics ran out. DS and I got home after midnight but it's a relief to have him there....

Mom will have her pacemaker inserted either today or tomorrow depending upon when her blood thickens enough from the coumidin. She's more worried for me right now than herself :) My wonderful baby sister is there but hopefully will get home in time to see her own children start their first day of school tomorrow.

Maybe I'll have good news eventually! ;)

Kathy:

Just back from vacay and I catching up with posts. Oh my goodness I cannot believe what I am reading. I am at a loss as to what to say. Hoping today finds your DH much better and will keep your mom in my prayers.
You have had some summer ,,,,or shall I say lack of one. Hopefully fall of 2012 will be kinder to you. Good luck with problem #3 too! Hey something has to give

Jean

Good Luck Bump!!

Continued positive thoughts and prayers coming your way!

Thank you Jean, Brandi and Jo! I appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Yes, something has to give!

DH was released from the hospital today with medications and no diagnosis for the fever.

My mother did well with her surgery and I hope to get up to see her tomorrow :thumbsup2

Some of the doctors are now thinking that DH has COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) perhaps brought to the surface by the virus he picked up in late June. No one has said that he see a pulmonologist yet but I think he should. He also has a couple out-patient tests to get done. His main symptoms when he doesn't have a fever are a relentless, hacking cough and breathing difficulty.

There is a lot of viral coughing etc. here at work etc. so I am being careful to stay away from sick people!

Today so far:

Mom was released from the hospital and is under nurse's care at her residential retirement home.

DH is home and running low fevers but relatively okay. We have decided to take him to a different hospital if his temp goes up to 101 and to start the diagnosis process all over.

We are a bit worried about the holiday weekend coming up with doctors etc. being away.

I can't believe we are on our own with all this....
