I recently went to the 1st annual DIS CON, this time with 2 members of my family needing special assistance. I came to this board for info and soon had so many resources it was amazing.

My Dad is a cancer patient and has to travel in a wheelchair and needs oxygen at various times. My Aunt is 84 and has ambulatory as well as dietary trouble.

This board made what could have a been a nightmare so manageable is was amazing. I have a new appreciation for those who have to cope on a daily basis with limitations.

So a huge thanks to all here - you made it a most enjoyable vacation for my entire family.

Thanks for the Thank You.
We always appreciate when someone comes back and tells how their trip went. I started going on the DIS boards because people I talked to who had children with les disability than my DD has told me they would never take their child to WDW because it would be too hard ("impossible", some said). I knew that with some extra planning and a lot of patience, it could be done and be a lot of fun. This board grew out of a lot of other people who wanted to share their ways of making the impossible possible.
Please feel free to share any of your new wisdom here.

Glad to be of assistance, Lisa. It was wonderful to see you again at DIS Con, and I am glad that things went well for your family. :) :) :)
