It is Monday, September 27 and our last full day in the Sunshine State. It was sad to know we were going home tomorrow (but I have to admit, I missed my pup pup).

While Mark showered, I enjoyed the view before we went to the beach.

Back at the beach:

Mark found this really big seashell for me:

After our time on the beach, we went back to the room and freshened up and went to meet Nicki for coffee at our favorite hang out.

We decided to take pictures on this day because I knew tomorrow would be an emotional day and I didn't want red-eyed pictures...and as it was I was teary-eyed this day knowing that tomorrow we would have to say goodbye to Nicki.

My best friend who laughs with me, cries with me, goes through the highs and lows and is just the best person I've ever met:

We went back to the pool for awhile and then went to dinner at the Snack Bar, the place we had eaten at our first night. On the way to our car, we found this guy hanging out on someone else's car:

I didn't take pictures at the Snack Bar and I can't even remember at this point what we ate. I know the food was outstanding as always. After that we took a ride around the island and peaked at some of the houses for sale...we were just dreaming of course.

Up next, it is time to go home.

Yes, it was a hawk. Yes, the pictures were much better taken on the day before we left rather than the day we left.

Unfortunately, it is coming to an end. Vacations go much too fast and it takes forever for the next one to come.

I was a little afraid to get too close to the hawk not knowing what it would do (although Mark didn't seen too leary...should have given the camera).

Yes, I always used to cry on the last day at Disney which was inevitably at the Magic Kingdom. We would get to the car and the tears would start. Now the tears start when we have to leave Nicki.

Beautiful pictures of the beach and your shell collection. I am way overdue for a trip to the ocean. All of these Disney trips keep getting in the way!!
Your hawk picture reminds me of this perigrine falcon that was stopping by my work a year or two ago. I named him Ted, after Ted Bundy because he was such a ruthless killer.....of course that is the birds' nature but he just freaked me out! He once killed another bird in our parking lot and ate everything but the feathers and bones. I made my co-worker go out and try to scare him away and if you can imagine a bird glaring at someone I swear that is what he did!! Well at least that stopped my appetite after looking at all of the food pictures on Nicki's report!!

Hi, Tina. It was a great massage (I think Nicki missed hte post as I kind of snuck it in between her Cape May review. It was heavenly; I've been seeing Edward for five years.
