If you had 4 or 5 hours to go to a park alone, which park would you choose and why?

My DH and DS are planning on golfing two of the mornings on our trip.
Usually, I go to Epcot when he golfs but since they don't open until 11 that doesn't make sense.
I'm thinking about MK or AK.
Does anyone know if the animal trails open with the park at AK? I think it would be nice to stroll around at my own pace.
I might do MK so I can ride the rides they never want to like Splash Mountain, Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh.
Since we can't parkhop I'm waiting to make the park reservation until I pick which park to go to that day.

I'm also thinking of trying either Tiffins or Skippers for lunch since the menu doesn't appeal to them so I haven't been able to try them.
I will probably feel a little self conscious eating alone but a girls gotta eat right?

If it's open by November I'm planning on taking a lyft to the character warehouse one of the mornings so that day is covered.

the schedules change all the time but the trails are opening about 30 minutes after park opening so check MDE
I would go to whatever park is your favorite

I agree with the PP who recommended AK. My favorite spot is on Gorilla Falls trail (or whatever it's being called these days), near the end on the left, the bachelor gorillas. I could stand and watch them for hours! Did you know that they have to be called in one at a time, while the CM distracts the others with food? That's because they can't go together on the path-if they do, they'll play "push and shove". I used to teach 8th grade, and it reminds me so much of what happens if you let 2 boys go to the pencil sharpener at the same time. This is how I spend my time when DH (and sometimes DS) are off golfing.

We walked around taking pictures of an empty park at opening, then went on Kilimanjaro Sarfari. Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail was open when we exited to ride. So we went searching for Baby Grace, the new gorilla and got to see her. All the animals had just been fed, so they were all out eating! It was perfect timing!!

With the current park resort hours, I'd probably pick either MK or AK. Ordinarily I'd go with Epcot but it doesn't even open until 11 am.

Thanks guys! I was leaning toward AK and you solidified my choice.
I made the park reservation. I do love the animals and the thought of possibly being able to ride FOP more than once sounds amazing.
Now I just have to decide if I'm confident enough to eat at Tiffins alone for lunch!

Definitely go have some solo fun. Either sounds good. . Last 2 trips, I had a few mornings, kinda on my own, all the rest were doing more other rides, so I would just do a few things I liked. I don't love eating by myself in restaurants either, i didn't mind doing all the rides and exploring solo tho. I did enjoy just sitting and people watching at outside tables, like near Woody's lunch box, or just hanging out in Batuu, eating a ronto wrap. AK would be good for solo time. Could start w FoP or the Safaris, and then when trails open, just leisurely explore. Also, the kids and I had a long wait for DH one time, and explored all around the Tree of Life trails, that was fun. MK is good too. Often when they're off doing Space Mtn, I'll do Peter Pan, etc. they don't really like that. have fun wherever you choose!!!

I've done Tiffins for lunch as solo female probably 5-7 times. It's one of my favorites! Service is awesome and its a quiet escape. I usually get a wine flight, so no need to go to Nomad's. I highly recommend it!

Also - I plan my morning coffee break after doing a couple rides first thing! My partner isn't a coffee drinker, but I love stoppingn by the Starbucks and then finding a spot to sit in the trails across the main walkway from Starbucks.

I go solo all the time. I do eat alone in restaurants--it's no biggie. Just like standing alone in a queue. Pre-COVID, I would briefly chat with people in line, or at the next table. Going in two weeks solo, and with social distancing, I probably won't be able to "chat" much, but I am going to use the restaurant time to cool off and enjoy mask-less time.

When I find a bit of free time I like to resort hop and try out some signature snacks the resort may be know for. Not a direct answer to your question about what park to visit but I thought I would share incase you have not been to many of the resorts. Also what about the 3 hour Marceline to Magic Tour or Keys to the Kingdom 5 hour tour? Both are at MK and are excellent. (This is if they are even doing tours during Covid times.)

Do you get 2 mornings? Heaven! At lunch, sit and read other people’s trip reports. Pleasing no one but you.

I would have probably done a tour if they weren't canceled right now. There are several that I really want to do!!

I love this advice. I'm an over thinker and in typical fashion I am over thinking this.
I honestly think I'm going to have a fantastic time. I'm always worried about making sure everyone else is having a good time. I'm looking forward to doing what I want at my own pace.
For example I love the bats on the trail. I could stand there for an hour but no one else gets excited by them so we usually take a peak and leave. This time I might stand there until lunch! Lol

That sounds like so much fun! If I went solo and was choosing between the parks you mentioned, I think I would go with AK. I agree with everyone else, my family tends to skip the animal trails and I'd love to Single Rider EE a few times!

But for sure, if you choose MK, you have to try Skipper's Canteen! It one of our favorites and the food there isn't like anywhere else in the park.

I agree...do things that others don't want to do.
Be it rides, taking a longer time watching animals, going to resorts, doing all those activities in Epcot you usually zip pass, watching all the movies in Epcot, going on a horse ride, renting a boat, going to the spa, etc.
