A More Complete Candlelight List!

I'm very excited about Gary Senise. I'm planning either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. The candlelight processional has to be all the more special on either of these precious dates.

We'll be going on 11/28. I'm pretty certain I know who Rita Moreno is, but has she narrated in the past? If so, has anyone seen her, and what did you think? Thanks!

Ok I am going blank about the CP. So the time we are going we will have JC there. Now from my understanding it is right in front of the American pavillion, correct?

Now JC will tell the story of Christmas? And there will be an Orchastra? And if you book a dinner package are you gauranteed a seat inside the place or can you just kind of stand in the back and still see the person telling the story?

What about taking pictures while they are telling the story?

They have an orchestra, a large choir consisting of castmembers & students and the narrator. The narrator reads a passage, then the choir sings a song.

The people with dinner packages are seated first in the front, then the standbys can come in and take the rest of the seats. If you want to do standby (free), get there at least 45-60 minutes before (depending on the night of the week and how close it is to Christmas).

back to Marlee Matlin...

A friend's church has a deaf ministry, plus I think it would be cool to tape if for my sign language class.

Questions:
Will she be in full view?
Who's had good luck video taping CP?
What was your technique?

I am so psyched to see her sign.

We videotaped Candlelight Processional and it came out beautifully. We didn't do anything special, but we were at the first seating so it wasn't completely dark yet. It might be trickier after dark although I'm not sure. We also did the CP dinner package, and we had great seats almost dead-center and not far back from the stage.

It's at the America Gardens stage, which is right across the promenade from American Adventure.

All correct, yes. Although there is seating available for people without the dinner package, if you get there early enough and stand in line.

Photos are allowed, but obviously you need to be sensitive to the people sitting or standing around you if you have a flash rig.

Yes, those of you with cameras please do be considerate of others.

Some people seem to think that a camera or video camera gives them the right to stand up and block the view of others or even to leave their seats to film from "a better spot".

If filming the show is important, please buy a package and get there early enough to get a good set!

Sorry for the rant - it's such a beautiful show. I can't believe some people can be so rude! I know they are in the minority. Thanks goodness the CMs are pretty good about asking the rude ones to return to theiir seats.

This will be our first WDW visit during the holidays, with our DS who will be 13mos. Is this something we shouldn't miss? He does love the choir that I sing with, and we'll be there the week after Christmas - how are the crowds then? Better to get a package, I imagine? Anyone know when have they gone on sale in the past? Thanks for any input!princess:

I plan on taking pictures from the back

:)

I will be there when Kirk Franklin and Jim Caviezel are there. I am not familiar with either... should I plan to see on or the other thanks!!! I just made my plane reservations 2 days ago. I am so excited!!

We were lucky enough to see LeVar Burton on our first visit and Edward James Olmos during our second visit. This year I guess we get to see Rita Moreno........I was hoping for Marlee Matlin. Oh well, maybe next year :) At least CP is starting 2 days earlier than I thought it would. Now there's no rush to do both CP and MVMCP on the 28th...we leave on the 29th so we've got only one night for MVMCP.

Does Gary Sinise live in Orlando as he always seems to get the Christmas slot?

In anticipation of the packages being released soon, what is the best number to call to book the candlelight package? Thanks!

He doesn't live in Orlando, but I think he did the Christmas slot his first year and loved it so much that he requests that timeframe every year.

He's great ... we got to meet him two years ago before a show!

The week after Christmas is the most crowded week of the year at WDW, so if you have a specific time and date in mind for seeing the show, then you'll want to get the dinner package to be guaranteed a seat. If you just want to stand in back and watch for a while (the show is about 40 min long, which can be quite long for a 13 month old), then you'll be fine just seeing it whenever you happen by.

:(

My family can only go during Christmas week. I think it would be nice if they could change the speakers from year to year, or maybe every two years.

My son and I are going this year. My family's thinking of doing a huge famiily reunion trip Christmas 2006. Both trips will be during Christmas Week.

Oh well, if Disney's willing to grant his request each year, then he must be an awesome speaker.

If you want to attend the second show, what time will they give you for your PS?
