Well, guess what we did today?!?!? We (Dayna and I) went flying with Bill today! Yes, folks, you read right! DAYNA WENT FLYING!!!!!! She asked Bill to take her flying, although she was hesitant. But she did it and she handled it fantastically!!!!!!! We flew about 19 minutes around the area. She sat in the right hand seat next to Bill and I sat in the back. As soon as I can, I'll post pictures. (meaning I need help) ;) We did have a few "moments" though. Bill was trying very hard to make things easy for her by explaining everything that he was doing. So when we were getting ready to land, he said that the engine was not stalling. The engine sound changes and it seems to get quieter. Dayna (poor thing) thought he said the engine WAS stalling. (never use the word "stall" in any form when you're taking a questionable person flying.) Then he said something about "hitting the grass", but he meant when we fly over the grass. Dayna was starting to wonder what was up!! She had to ask him if everything was ok. He reassured her that everything was fine and he just used a poor choice of words!!!!! We're back on the ground and all is well. Dayna says she wants you all to know that this doesn't mean she's going to start flying now. ;) :DDayna's Flight Survival Photos http://www.modellbahnott.com/discon/flightpic2.jpg http://www.modellbahnott.com/discon/flightpic3.jpg

OMG!!! Is this the same Dayna that drove 1400 miles this past week?? Congrats Dayna!! You conquered the world!!! I must admit I can fly in big jetliners with no problem but you CANNOT get me into a small plane!! Woohoooo Dayna!!:bounce:

Bravo...bravo...Dayna!

::Ray standing clapping his hands and cheering Dayna's bravery::

Wait...I thought that you were in WDW.

That is so nice of your husband, Barb.

Reminder to self...never say "stalling engine" while on the plane with Dayna, and never say "hitting the grass" when in the process of landing.

Ray

I'm too choked up to post right now. ::sniffles:: I'm so proud of Dayna. And that was very kind of Bill. Thanks for posting Barb.

I'm impressed, Ms. Dayna! I don't mind flying on commercial planes at all, but I have NO interest in going up in a private plane. You are to be congratulated for your bravery! :D

i didn't know bill had pilot disease. i like him even more

i flew a lot before kids. was a partner in a grumman tiger

WOW!! Dayna is brave!!! I fly in BIG planes, but would definitely have to think about it (and probably decide against) flying in one of those itty-bitty ones!!!!! :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

::disneycub gasps in disbelief, and breaks into applause::

Good job, Dayna! You're a lot braver than I am.

Barb and Dayna.........those are very nice pictures, but they were all taken on the ground.

I noticed that Dayna's door was open in the first two pictures.

Now if Dayna was really flying, I think that you would have some pictures during the flight.

Do you have any more pictures Barb?

Doubting-Thomas here...lol.

Dayna, flew?!?!?!? Like in a plane?!?!?!?

Now, she can be the FLYING Elephant!:p :bounce: :p :bounce: :p :bounce: :p :bounce:

Congratulations Dayna!

Now I want hear Dayna's version of events! LOL!

Oh, I LOVE the pictures! She looks so darn cute in there. :)

I still can't believe she did that!?! ::thud:: ;)

Go Dayna, Go Dayna!! Dumbo is a flying elephant isn't he, so it's only natural that Dayna should fly, at least once anyway :teeth:

Who knows Barb, you may have opened a can of worms here, Dayna might start flying everywhere. Can you just imagine how many more places she could get to:cool:
