I will never understand what moves some people to think it's their duty to pick apart a poster. This is one thing that keeps me away from here.

Please don't stay away because there are one or two people who might upset you. There are many, many more who enjoy meeting people and enjoying stories.

I can understand your position though - but don't let a few upset you, everyone is entitled to an opinion and ours may differ from theirs. Best to just ignore the posts and posters that bother you and enjoy the company of the others.

Rae, that's good to know and hear! I was getting all stirred up with those who didn't believe me, which I know will get me no where! As graciously as possible, I have tried to answer the detractors, however your wisdom has led me to try to ignore those who feel the need to wallow in the negative...I am sure they have some need that is being met by their posts and I now realize that I have no need to respond.

BTW, I visited your lovely organ donation website! Your and your daughter's literary work is amazing and certainly begs us all to pause and consider what true love is. As a parent of a child who was born with a non-functionng kidney (Thank God she has a second normal one), I thank you and your family for giving so fully of yourselves by agreeing to organ donation. If something, God forbid, should ever happen to my daughter's one good kidney, a gift such as your daughter's would be necessary.

Thank you! I just hope that people realize that her passing was NOT as important as her life and the life she has been able to give to others. IF just one person visits the site and makes the decision to donate, then her life goes on through that simple act of organ donation.

Over the posts, I've had my fair share of comments (both on this forum and private messages) - suffice it to say, I now pay little attention to those posters! Glad you are still going to post!!!
and the story was HYSTERICAL! My Mom even got a good laugh from it.

One friend (a frequent board poster) privately asked me if the man might have thought it was lemonade! That friend won't fess up to the comment but I had another good chuckle out of it!

Hey, life is too short to be bothered by little things - just live, love and laugh!

I don't know that I have ever seen popcorn sold in a bucket with any kind of lid....it tends to be sold in a bucket with the popcorn piled high everywhere I have ever seen it...just another part of the story that makes it hard to believe....sad really.

I can vouch for this one. In October of 2003 I bought popcorn from the vendor in Epcot that is right before you enter Mexico (if coming at it from Future World). It came in a souveneir bucket with a red snap on lid. I still have the bucket and the lid.

My Fantasmic bucket comes with a glow-in-the-dark lid.

Also accusing someobdy of something without fully knowing all the fact is... sad, really.
