My husband and I are going to Disney in June staying at OKW. We were eligible for the AP recovery pass. Received a call this evening. Only waited about two weeks (Yay!). We were able to get the Gold AP and upgrade our 6 day tickets and pay the difference (double yay!). Now the problem. The cast member said my husband didn't have a previous AP it was my son. They have the same name. My adult son has never had an AP. She said oh it must have gotten mixed up because of the same name so she'd fix it. Great! But now my "son" is on vacation with me and my "husband" has an annual pass who is not on this trip. And the biggest issue..... my son has all of their magic bands assigned to him and my husband has NO magic bands. I'm going to call in the morning but it's a mess!

I’d call into the tech support for My Disney Experience and MagicBands
(407) 939-4357
We have had a lot of name issues and weird linking problems because we had too many friends and family in MDE because we live in FL and frequently travel with different groups to WDW. I once got AP mail for a few years addressed to my kids teacher who had an AP who we got a DVC room for one time so they definitely have database cross issues.

I was just going to suggest calling the tech line. Unless you know whose magic band is whose (see if the MB your husband is going to use has a number on the back) it may be easier to buy a new MB once the reservation is straightened out.

Thank you both! They both have 5/6 specialty bands. They are now all assigned to my son.

No help on this problem but while you are on the phone push the issue with them about the importance of a "suffix " after a name. We have Louis III, me and Louis IV, my adult son as owners of DVC. When I add reservations to MDE I have to spell my name with the suffix added to the end for MDE to find it as there is no place for a suffix. Most people just don't understand how important it is. I have dealt with it all of my life. Sr, Jr, III and IV. Lots of computer systems do not have a place for that suffix.
