Sorry I haven't been around much the last couple of days, it has been bonkers around here
On Friday night we opened our Christmas presents, and here's what I got
My fave present, a Mickey head bracelet
What I love, the cheap and cheerful Disney jewellery
From Natalie
and I've also had some $$ for my holiday
Yesterday we had my parents round where more $$ were handed out and the girls got lots of Nightmare Before Christmas stuff
In the afternoon we headed over to Birmingham as we were going to the Jasper Carrott Rock with Laughter Christmas show. Natalie and John were joining us and we made a night of it by stopping at the Novotel at Birmingham Airport. Before the show we had a lovely meal at Frankie & Benny's ..
.. and after a great meal and 3 bottles of White Zinfandel we took the 'monorail' over to the NEC. The show was brilliant. The hightlights for me were Jamelia, Jo Brand (hilarious) and I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed Shakin' Stevens (we were all singing along to his songs, and I loved it when he did Merry Christmas Everyone). Also appearing were Dame Edna Everage, Jack Dee (brilliant), Chris De Burgh and some others
After the show we headed back to the hotel and had a final drinky-poo in the bar. We had a really nice buffet style breakfast this morning and we left around 10ish (btw ~ thanks Nat for a great evening)
My packing is almost finished, we've checked in on-line and we are off up to Manchester tonight to stay at the Travelodge before we fly off in the morning
So all that's left for me to say is ... Bye and have a fantastic Christmas
