A lurker's 1st trip report! Partial Day #4 & another tea party!

How exciting to be upgraded!
I started reading your TR as we had planned on those exact dates! (4/5--4/10). My husband ended up just out of the hospital, so we have to postpone our trip till June.

Your daughter's adorable!
Rhonda
I'm so sorry! I hope your DH is doing well now. Hopefully by the time June rolls around your hubby will be fully recovered and ready to "take on the world!" If it is any consolation, last week kind of stunk weather-wise. I was hoping to come home with a tan but I ended up spending the majority of my time in jeans and long sleeves! (And I only brought one of each so I was having to recycle due to my "no laundry rule" while at Disney!)
Have fun in June!

Lisa
p.s. Thanks for the kind comment about DD. I adore her!

Ok, I had time for just a couple more pics....

DD's expression is cracking me up. I can just hear her saying "What's up with this mouse? Give me the Prince!!!"

See ya'll tomorrow!

Thanks, I am not much of a photographer but I think they turned out well. We loved the BC!! We chose it because of its proximity to EPCOT and because it was the ONLY resort available. We are so glad we did! Club level was cool but if I was going to pay for it I think I would still choose the Poly. Watching the fireworks from the lounge was really great there. Good luck talking hubby into it! Have him give my DH a call, he would definitely tell him to go for it!!!;)

Ugh, a snowstorm!!! I almost feel guilty for complaining because it is 32 degrees here right now and I have already put up all my winter tennis stuff......now I'll be stuck in a skirt this morning (have you seen how short those things are?!?) And, since it was so cold last week I didn't even manage to come back with a tan!!!!

Hey there fellow Abingdoner! Do people mess up the pronunciation there as much as they do here? It drives me nuts!

Thanks, DD is 7 going on 25 at least!

The Tea Party was one of the highlights of our trip! DD is going to give me her step by step description tonight, should make for some interesting reading!

Thanks! She really is a sweetie! Do you think I should make my pics smaller? I haven't ever posted any before, so I just chose the size that sounded about right. What do you think?

I think your pics are sized just right, they are great :thumbsup2 ! I LOVE the one of you with Prince Charming, I think your DH better watch himself or you could have a new man on the block :rotfl:

I am so looking forward to your description of the Tea Party....seriously considering it for DD and her cousins next time! princess: princess: princess:

I am hooked on your TR. Love all those pictures! I am anxious to hear about the rest of your dining experiences. I have upcoming ressie's at some of the same places and can't wait to hear about your experience!

I just started reading your trip report, and totally enjoying it:thumbsup2 Your daughter is beautiful.
We are going to Disney Again in June with the 3 kids. I think I am more excited then them;)

Looking forward to reading more.

OK, I wasn't going to tell you about this, but it is kind of funny. When I first looked at the pictures of your daughter with Cinderella, I thought: "WOW, you dressed up too! That's a really fancy dress to pack to wear to dinner with the Princesses. You must be a HUGE fan of of Disney to do that!" :lmao:

BTW, my husband is getting better everyday. We have rescheduled for June 1 to 7th, so we were able to add a day too. We took a mini vacation over Easter up to the Geneva on the Lake Lodge that's only an hour away and very relaxing.

Great TR.

You made my day! If I was lucky enough to look like Cinderella I would be wearing that dress EVERY night! ( That would probably make DH pretty happy.......:confused3 )

I have fallen behind on my trip reporting duties, sorry! I had to take a tennis lesson today so I don't look like an idiot during our next tournament. I will try and get another installment out this evening. Hope everyone is enjoying and/or learning something! If anybody has any questions for me, I'll be happy to try and answer them. I think I have described just about every excruciating detail (DH keeps asking why I have to include soooooo much info!) but if I have left something out, please ask!

Day 3

Okay, if you know me at all (which I know you don’t but let’s just say you do) then you won’t be surprised to hear that we didn’t make it out of bed early today. DD and I are complete night owls, we do not do well rising early in the morning normally and we certainly don’t want to drag our sorry butts out of bed while on vacation! Because of this we have had to modify today’s plans.

Anyway, about 8:00 we finally roll out of the sack. DD and I decided to go grab some breakfast snacks from the lounge to bring back to the room. We stuffed ourselves with carbs and then decided to head to the pool since it looked like it was going to be a beautiful day. I made the wise choice to forgo a swimsuit because I have still got that beautiful snow-like-lily-white-non-existant-tan-glow going on but DD was ready to go swimming! So she put her suit on and we headed down to SAB. On the way in we were issued wristbands because SAB has had such a problem with pool hoppers. :sad2: I was really upset to see that the majority of chairs on the first rows were already covered with towels, magazines, shoes, etc. What was odd though, was that there were only like 5 people in the pool and about 10 people actually occupying the lounge chairs. This was at 9:15, the pool had been open for 15 minutes and all of these chairs were already taken?:confused3 I had read about the chair poachers but it irked me to see it for myself. It was totally obvious that numerous people had grabbed 4 or 6 towels each and just thrown them over the backs of chairs and then bailed to go have breakfast or go to the parks for a couple hours or whatever. I found this really rude especially since there are signs posted very clearly that you are not supposed to do this. DH said I just needed to move the towels and grab a seat, which I would normally do, but I didn’t want to be getting into a brawl at Disney!!!! After walking the entire perimeter of SAB I finally managed to find a couple of chairs in the corner area by the sand by the small store. We parked ourselves and DD got in. She loves to swim!! The lifeguards were plentiful and they were obviously very attentive. She said the water was warm. I felt confident that my DD would be able to swim safely even if my watchful eyes couldn’t see her. But, of course, I don’t like to let her out of my sight at the pool! That was really the one thing I didn’t like about it--the twists and turns that made it impossible to keep an eye on your kid. DD didn’t want to just hang out in one little section, she wanted to go all over, who could blame her?! I just wanted to lay back and bake in the sun so I wasn’t too crazy about having to keep getting up to follow her around the corner or over to the other side of the pool. Luckily for us she decided she was too cold and wanted to leave after an hour.:rolleyes1 I have to add…during the hour we were there, I didn’t see one single person enter the pool area that sat down at any of the chairs which were already saved! They all had to do the same thing I did--SEARCH! Next time I will know and I’ll just move a towel and not stress about it. We don’t park it at the pool for the entire day so I am going to quit being so worried about what other people think….they are doing something they shouldn’t be doing anyway so why should I feel bad about taking a chair so I can watch my child? Some people may disagree with me about this, but it makes me so mad to see stuff like this happen!

I've got to go get DD in the bath, so I will continue with more of Day 3 in a bit!!

Some SAB pics. I wish I had better ones and I would have loved to have some photos of all the chairs that were "poached!"

What a wonderful trip. We stayed at the Yacht Club years ago.. it was such fun. Stormalong Bay is a real treat!

Thanks for another great update and pics. That's a shame about the poachers. I have never stayed there and didn't realize it was such a big problem.
