My mil bought one of the pressurized containers of solarcaine to take away..... is that one of the prohibited items? I tried to tell her to get a container of the cream and pack it but she insists she has to take the spray one. Will her luggage get searched and it get taken away??

Why oh why did I agree to take my parents, the IL's and my brother's mil??? sheesh! They are all driving me NUTS!!

Is she packing it in her carry-on? Then unless it's within the size limits it will be thrown out. If she packs it in her checked bag she should be fine. Hey - if they throw it out she can buy a new one in Disney - live and learn!

She's planning on packing it in her checked luggage but it's an aerosol can - I didn't think aerosol cans were allowed?

She should be ok. I packed my hairspray which was in a can in my checked luggage and it was still in my luggage when I arrived at the resort and when I got back home. That was just last month.

The TSA site has an extensive list of prohibited/permitted items. According to the list I found (in the makeup, medications, personal items and special needs devices section) aerosol spray bottles and cans are permitted in checked luggage. If the size is 3 oz. or less it can be in carry on luggage (must be inside a 1 quart/1 litre ziploc bag).

The Transport Canada site also says it is allowed.

I don't think solarcaine falls into the category of dangerous goods ;)
It is possible that having the can in checked luggage might cause security to search the bag.

Thanks - just wasn't sure and she's been driving me NUTS with all the questions!! Either i don't remember it being this bad when we took them to Disney for 2 weeks or I've just blocked it out of my mind

Between her and my mother I think I deserve a medal!! :lmao: :rotfl2:
