A lot missing from 2014 plans

I was looking at the table-service restaurants included in the deluxe plan and it seems like it's lacking A LOT compared with last year. There is only one table service in AK and 4 in EP compared with this year's 12. And there are no DtD restaurants listed in either quick or table service.

Is it possible they haven't added all of them yet, or is this all we get?

This questions gets asked every year. Initially, only Disney-owned restaurants are listed. The non-Disney restaurants need to finalize contracts... Typically, they aren't added official to the list until the very end of the year. But you can rest 99.99999% assured, that every restaurant currently on the dining plan, will be on the dining plan again next year.

Thanks! I'm new to the whole in-depth Disney planning thing.

That's a relief, it would have thrown a big kink in my planning process.

.... then consider carefully whether it should even be part of the planning process. Unless you are getting free dining, paying for the dining plan is not worthwhile for most people anymore. (emphasis on most. It is still worthwhile for some people).

Agree here. There's enough other stuff to focus on that will have a much larger impact on your trip then whether or not you will save $20 or spend an extra $20 by being on a Dining Plan or not.

For us, it's more like $200....but different families mileage may differ, because of the way they use the plan and what they would actually eat.

Just costed it out (based on 2014 costs in this forum): Approx 1730 (oop including all meals planned, tax and tip) vs 1915 (including DDP cost, one extra oop meal, and tips) for our 7 night trip (but 8 day).

That's comparing what our family of 5 (2 adults, 1 "Disney adult" and 2 kids) would likely actually eat (with ADR's made this morning) vs what we would actually pay for on the DDP...and not taking into account any possible DVC discounts or potentially buying a TIW card (working that out now) into either calcs.

Edit: Our DVC discount would save us about $20, total (given where our ADRs our)

A TIW card would save us about $147....total savings would be $247, less the $100 cost of the card for DVC members.
