A lot cheaper!

So, after saying that we were not going to WDW this year, I've booked it!

Used VA airmiles for the flights, going out PE and back Econ, had to pay approx £760 in taxes though.

Staying at our fav resort of POR for 15 nights with free dining (we only do the quick service one as this suits us, no time to do ADR and then make sure we are there in time etc etc), unlimited pass..

Saved about £700 on VH prices (taking into account the proper airfares and the fequent virgin discount!!)...I just do not know how they justify their prices anymore!

Have already booked the Gatwick Hilton which was in their sale, on site car parking via Quidco and the Magical Express

I said we weren't going this year too! Then a week ago I booked! Virgin Atlantic too. Horrible prices. 4.4k for four of us economy. As you say, still cheaper than Virgin holidays site. Also staying at POR with free quick service dining but have upgraded to the regular plan. 14 day unlimited passes for us too. We are going to do Discovery Cove again hence staying at POR not a deluxe. I will miss the Beach Club but love POR as well. Have gone for preferred room. When will you be there? August for us 15 nights.

We are there from 18th November for all the Christmas stuff. No kids in this household so not beholden to school holiday dates which helps enormously with flight prices! I love POR over all the resorts really just suits us perfectly with all the quiet pools and the DTD boat. Its just one of those resorts that never feels full (apart from the mornings in the foodcourt!!!!) and just so so pretty. We normally ask for a room right in the corner of the resort so its really quiet and nobody has to walk/run past our door...

Normally we are economy as well but had enough miles for PE out but only Econ back..Decided on PE out as its a longer journey and more food and able to make better use of the inflight entertainment..Looking forward to REAL cutlery on the way out!!!!
