A long weekend with the Mouse, Finally the finale 11/25

Hey Mo! It's taken me all morning, but I've finally read through this whole TR!!:yay:

Sounds like you had such a great time! Loved the pics, the arm sniffing shout out to T...everything!:lmao:

So did ya see prices on the hitchhiking ghosts? I've got Gus, the little guy, and Ezra, the tall skinny guy, but still need Phineas...LOVE them and it's a shame not to be able to keep them someplace where you can always see them...they were a huge hit on Halloween...And yes, those are my waaaaaayyyy overdue for a trim hedges - they added to the spookiness of Halloween, dontcha think?:confused3 Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it...

And here's how "da boys" looked in the dark...Cool, huh?

I think we all know that feeling when we are leaving and we see that happy family just checking in. Grrrrrrrrr! You are lucky that you have 2 trips planned for next year. I just wish I were your niece ... :rolleyes1

Oh no you're on your way home :sad1: Somehow I missed your MNSSHP installment but it sounded great but I must agree with Tracy no candy :faint: Now what's this about you doing a Waldo?

This is not an exaggeration, it happened just like I wrote, I was so ready to hop over that counter and print it myself. And it took 2 of them to print the darn thing!

:lmao: I'm sorry, I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time.

See, I know what you are all thinking, but this still does not count as shopping either. The crocs are a necessity for WDW touring and a black pashima is a must have too, at least here in the Northeast. If it is a must have it does not count as shopping ( for a complete list of Fuzzy shopping rules, please refer to PrincessV’s earlier post).

Next up – Puggymom pulls a Waldo:rolleyes1 …

Those purchases definitely fall into V's FDS rules. No problem! :lmao:

Hmmm, did you lose yourself?

:sad2: u r at the airport. it was fun to read.

Thanks, and yes, airport day is always sad!

I Don't want it to be almost over - I love your reports!!!!!!!!!! Please, please tell me you don't get on the plane and you turn back and... sorry... saw Enchanted yesterday and am still in Fairy Tale Mode. ;)

I wish, but I did get eventually get on the plane.

how was Enchanted?

:lmao: I was cracking up at your conversation at the airline check in counter at Disney. :rotfl: Makes you wonder....

Sorry you had to leave so soon and I fully understand the Disney depression mode that sets in. I always plan my next trip as soon as I get home!

I couldn't believe how long it took to get my boarding pass, usually it is a very quick process.

I hear on planing the next one, I have 2 in planning mode and starting to look at what I am doing in 2009 (definately going to Dl in 2009)

Absolutely correct. If it is a necessity of life, ya know the bear necessities, it does not count as shopping.

Uh oh :scared: popcorn::

:rolleyes1

You pulled a Waldo!
:rolleyes1

That is so cool, you have to get the third one. I didn't bother checking the prices though, but wow, maybe I should look into getting them shipped!

Oh and the untrimmed hedges definately up the spookiness factor

I think we all know that feeling when we are leaving and we see that happy family just checking in. Grrrrrrrrr! You are lucky that you have 2 trips planned for next year. I just wish I were your niece ... :rolleyes1

After what happened at out Turkey day dinner not so sure you would want to be part of the puggymom family:lmao:

There we were, the entire puggymom clan, (most were half in the bag) singing the chorus to ALice's restaurant at the top of our lungs while eating our turkey! I think some of the younger members of the family were scared:scared1:

Oh no you're on your way home :sad1: Somehow I missed your MNSSHP installment but it sounded great but I must agree with Tracy no candy :faint: Now what's this about you doing a Waldo?

:lmao: I'm sorry, I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time.

NO, but I was laughing a short time later thinking back at it.
:lmao:
Hmmm, did you lose yourself?
:rolleyes1

Must have been the same airline check-in people we had. Oh they were soooo lame! :headache:

OMG! I can't wait to read how you pulled a Waldo! :rotfl2:

popcorn::

Actually, that sounds like fun. And you just reminded me. I'm mad because I had "Alice's Restaurant" all ready to place all day on my MySpace for Thanksgiving and totally forgot about it until now. It's a tradition!

One of the CM’s that I got to know the previous mornings, was trying to talk me into moving down and getting a job at WDW. Oh, how good that sounded at that moment! I got my last meal and headed back to the room for a last look over to make sure everything was packed. I threw out some left over food (including that darn banana from the Hampton Inn), I gathered my bags and headed down to the parking lot one last time. As I headed to the car I walked past a family who was just checking in and I really hated them at that moment. I wanted to be checking in, not going to the airport. Yeah, I know, I am being greedy and acting like a spoiled child but I don’t care. I was not ready to go home.:sad1:

See it was times like this I thought having DVC would make it easier. I have 2 trips already planned for next year and yet I am so depressed to be leaving. The only think that helps at this moment is that I will be seeing my boys in a matter of hours. Sometimes I wonder if it wasn’t for them if I would make it to the airport.

Awww, Mo. You aren't alone. You'd think it would get easier to leave WDW since we go so often, but I think the opposite happens. :sad2: It's funny that you mentioned the part about 'moving down and getting a job at WDW' LOL! We have that same conversation at the end of each trip. :lmao: Maybe someday... :cloud9:

I'm sorry to see this TR ending, but I know another one is right around the corner!!! :thumbsup2

Take care,
Michelle

Me: Hi I’m puggymom, party of 1 and I am checking in for my Jet Blue flight, I am not checking any bags.

Them: How do you spell it (my real last name is only 5 letters and fairly simple, keep that in mind as you read along)

Me: p-u-g-g-y-m-o-m

Them: OH, here you are, saint bernardmom

Me: No that was puggymom, p-u-g-g-y-m-o-m

Them: what was that spelling again

Me: p-u-g-g-y-m-o-m

Them: oh is this you a party of 2, Chihuahuamom.

Me: No, puggymom, party of 1

Them: how do you spell it

Me: p-u-g-g-y-m-o-m

Them: oh here you are, how many bags, puggymom

Me: None, thanks

Them: Oh wait this is the computer we can’t print from (move onto the other computer and start over)

Them: what was the spelling of your name

Me: p-u-g-g-y-m-o-m

Them: Oh here you are Chihuahuamom, party of 2, how many bags were you
checking

Me: it’s puggymom, party of 1 and I am not checking any bags.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Sorry to quote the qhole thing, but that was just too funny!
If it is a must have it does not count as shopping …
:thumbsup2 In fact, I'll go so far as to say any number of pashimas in colors ranging form, oh say brown, greay and black, are necessary. Not that I'd know personally of course. :rolleyes1

Must have been the same airline check-in people we had. Oh they were soooo lame! :headache:

OMG! I can't wait to read how you pulled a Waldo! :rotfl2:

OMG, that's right you had problems with the airline check in at POFQ too.

Actually, that sounds like fun. And you just reminded me. I'm mad because I had "Alice's Restaurant" all ready to place all day on my MySpace for Thanksgiving and totally forgot about it until now. It's a tradition!

Turkey day ain't Turkey day without a little Alice's Restaurant.

Awww, Mo. You aren't alone. You know, I don't know it I would want to actually work there. Though living nearby and going more frequently certainly appeals to me:goodvibes

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Sorry to quote the qhole thing, but that was just too funny!

Funny now, then, not so much.

:
V is that the way to spell grey/gray so we all understand which colour it is? :rotfl2:
:lmao:

I go through security and get on the fake monorail, as we approach the terminal I am looking at the planes parked outside and I am thinking that I didn't know Southwest was out of this terminal. I get off the fake monorail, look up at the gate #'s and it is then that I realize, I am at the wrong terminal, I took the wrong fake monorail. :headache:

I pulled a Waldo! :lmao:

I take the wrong fake monorail back to security. Luckily the right fake monorail was just next to the one I took and I didn’t need to go through security again.

My flight took off on time and we arrived early at Newark, I called the shuttle van and was soon in my car heading to pick the boys up. I wish I could show you how it felt to see my boys. They really do make it worth it to come home. If DVC ever starts allowing pets I will be in BIG trouble (please note- this is all tongue in cheek, DVC has no plans for this, please do not spread any rumors;) )

Final thoughts – The weather was lousy, the talkers were annoying, but I would take them anytime if it meant I was in my happy place. I love WDW and it only grows with each trip. Yeah so it may not be as clean as it used to be and some of the CM’s could use a little more training, but so what. I’d rather a bad day in Disney than a good day in the real world. It’s still my happy place (even when a loquacious southern belle is sticking her arm under my nose).

Also, being a Dis’ser has only added to my trips, because of Disney and the Dis I have met some great people I wouldn’t have otherwise known existed. Meeting Michelle and her peeps was such a pleasure and highlight of my trip. Thanks for taking time out of your plans Michelle to meet with me and bring me those very thoughtful gifts.:goodvibes

As for the Disney Dining Curse, maybe it’s not such a bad thing, I have a tendency to go back to what I like without trying anything new. I can be downright boring to tell the truth. The dining curse just gives me the motivation to try new things. (this does not apply though to CP’s puffy French toast, no way am I giving that up for CRT)

As for my knee, it is finally feeling better, still the occasional twinge, but nothing a little time hasn’t taken care of. Just have to be careful on stairs, need to make sure the whole foot is on the step and not just the toes.
So this is it fellow trip reporters. Until next time, I will look to all your trippies to feed my Disney obsession.

I’m outta here Dis’sers, I got me some trip planning to do!

:lmao: Getting on the wrong fake monorail. At least you didn't have to go back through security so that is a bonus!

I love getting home to my pets as well. I always feel so guilty leaving them behind.

I think you got on the fake monorail on purpose, only you didn't realize it. You wanted to extend your vacation any little bit you could!

You saying that Disney may not be as clean as it used to. But always remember and never forget ... it has got to be the cleanest park I have ever been to. I remember going to a Six Flags and just the horror of trash all over the place. Ew.

Thanks for your TR Mo. Loved it and I will look forward to your next one and your next one and your next one ...

Technically it was just a Wal. To be a complete Waldo, you would have had to go back out and through security again, 'member? :rotfl2:
But I give you an "A" for trying! :lmao:
I love WDW and it only grows with each trip.
I second that! :thumbsup2

I’d rather a bad day in Disney than a good day in the real world.
That, too! :thumbsup2

ITA! :thumbsup2
I’m outta here Dis’sers, I got me some trip planning to do!

Thanks for a great report, Mo! Can't wait until August! :woohoo:

So sorry your report is over. :sad1: I've enjoyed reading and look forward to your next one - looks like its not too far away! ;)

:rotfl: about the wrong gates, so glad I've never done anything like that...:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Thanks for sharing, Mo - I love the way you tell a story. :goodvibes

so sad is over. :sad2: it really was a great report. I hope you will do another one next time you go.
I do not look forward to the coming home part, staying with Mickey and friends or coming home to NYC to Biff (if u read my report u know him) I would choose Mickey.
:thumbsup2
