A long weekend with the Mouse, Finally the finale 11/25

Love your "non-shopping" expedition! Totally my reasoning too. I am not a big shopper but I would love, just once (or twice, thrice ;) ) to have some shopping time in DTD without the family.

Off topic, sorry, but I'm just curious now in what you do for a living? You're nice to your staff. Will you hire me? :flower3:

Loving the Fuzzy Disney Shopping Logic. You are absolutely right in all of your reasonings:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

But I really don’t think that means I am shopping, especially anything work related.:confused3
Nope can't be counted!

So again, this does not mean I am shopping.;)
You're so right!

That is just being smart!
Yep it is :rotfl2:

Again I would have to buy him a b-day present anyhow, so again this doesn’t count as shopping either.
You would wouldn't you so nope doesn't count

Food doesn’t count as shopping, nope it doesn’t.
Of course not!

Great non shopping day :rotfl2:

BTW you've bought more on a non-shopping trip than I do on a proper shopping trip :rotfl2:

What are these crocs that you wear, show me a picture please :) . Last year I wore the ugly beach crocs and they were so comfy. This year I wore the Mary Janes and I got blisters on top of my feet from them and to put on bandaids the rest of the week :headache: . Thanks in advance.

Brilliant, V! :thumbsup2

:lmao: I love your Fuzzy Disney shopping. That night shirt is great!

And very comfy too!

I'm cracking up at your shopping logic! :lmao: Love it! I want one of those pink shirts. :)

That's comfy too, we recently had a pink day at work (for breast cancer awareness) where we could also dress down (jeans) and that is the shirt I chose!

I am a tax manager for a corporate relocation firm, my area figures out the tax impact to the transferees and since most clients will pay the taxes for the transferee we transmit the info back to the client. I would hire you if for nothing else your sense of humor:lmao:

Why, thank you Janet, I knew I liked you!:thumbsup2

I don't know what comes over me when I am in Disney, at home it is usually about spending for the pugs (they put a dent in my disposable income;) )

Here is the link from the crocs site, I have the cotton candy, which is not nearly as bright as shown in the pic, it is a very neutral color actually

After a nice long nap I called to check on my boys. My mother starts the conversation with “I think Rocky ate a phone number”. HUH? I am picturing a button fell off her phone and he ate it. No, she had a piece of paper on a table with a phone number and now that piece of paper is missing. Rocky was the only one in the room at the time, so she just assumed it was him. She thinks all of this is so cute. I’m thinking I may send him to TE to live with all her goats as he is obviously part goat and would fit right in.;)

I get myself moving and head out to MK. I get a pretty good parking space within fairly close walking distance to the TTC. I hop on the resort monorail as I want to do a scouting mission for next August. I am staying at the GF the first 3 nights with my niece Kelly .

I haven’t even stopped by GF in a long time, I can’t even remember the last time I ate here. I hop off the monorail and head into the main building. I have reserved a deluxe room in the main building with the AAA discount. And if you are wondering how much more a deluxe room is then a standard, a budget busting $10.00. So for an extra $10, we get a lot more room including a sofa and a huge balcony. :thumbsup2 I walked around for a bit and checked out where everything is. Then I went out to check out the grounds and the pools. I know a lot think this place is stuffy, but I can’t wait to stay there. I think Kelly will love it, she loves froo froo stuff.

Finally I find my way to the dock to take the boat over. I get on board with a family that has the 2 cutest girls all dressed up as princesses for MNSSHP. The one girl decides to make me her new BFF and talked my ear off the whole ride over to the POLY and then to MK. Her Mom kept apologizing and tried to get her daughter to come sit with her, but the kid just wanted to talk to me. What is it with me attracting all these talkers this trip? :confused3 She really was cute and pretty intelligent for her age. I do wonder about kids that talk that freely with strangers though. I may be a bit crazy, but am relatively harmless, not everyone else is though, KWIM.

As I step off the boat I start with my left knee, you know the one I think I twisted on the segway. And Ouch! That hurt! :headache: Uh-oh, I did twist it. Well, I am in Disney I am not going to let a silly thing like a twisted knee slow me down!

Next up: OOH, what’s that smell? (No, it's not V's next hotel room;) )

Yes, but did you go to the Poly to make sure they have enough Pineapples for Lapu's:confused3 ;)

You will love it. We stay there all the time and it is sooooo NOT stuffy just a bit froo rroo as you say. The renovated rooms are nice. THe buffet at 1900 Park Fare is great for breakfast or dinner
I may be a bit crazy, but am relatively harmless, not everyone else is though, KWIM.
I always am think this when I see a kid talk to a stranger. What do some parents think..while some such as yourself are harmless ...most in my opinion are not

Mo, I LOVE your logic on shopping. I try to convince myself these things all the time and P laughs at me.He likes to shop also so he NEVER says anything about any purchases I make.

That sounds really nice. The GF is really nice but I'm not sure if the room decor is for me, too flowery. I wouldn't say no to a stay there though!

Oh no! I know how much a twisted/pulled knee can hurt. I'm glad that it didn't stop you from enjoying yourself.:goodvibes

:lmao: Poor V :sad2:

I am picturing a button fell off her phone and he ate it.
That's what I was thinking....

I get myself moving and head out to MK. I get a pretty good parking space within fairly close walking distance to the TTC. I hop on the resort monorail as I want to do a scouting mission for next August.
I'm with Janet on this one. I thought you were going to have a talk with the Kona manager to make sure they are well stocked for August. :lmao:

I know a lot think this place is stuffy, but I can’t wait to stay there. I think Kelly will love it, she loves froo froo stuff.
I'm with you there, stuffy - uh not so much, froo froo, absolutely. ::yes::

I do wonder about kids that talk that freely with strangers though. I may be a bit crazy, but am relatively harmless, not everyone else is though, KWIM.
For the most part, my Evan is a chatty kid - with strangers, as is Maddie. BUT, they usually talk to friendly faced people. Although Evan really likes to chat with the Senior set, if he gets positive eye contact, he'll chat it up with anyone.

Thanks for sending me the crocs link. I have tried the Ithaca's on before and I liked them, but already had bought Athens. I will be buying them in the spring though since you say they are so comfortable.
My DD is dying to stay at GF. She thinks it's gorgeous and obviously the best hotel in Disney. Her second choice is Poly. How old is your niece? She will probably love GF. Can't wait to hear about MNSSHP, hope your knee makes it through the party.

Ooh, lots of updates whilst I had company this week!

Sorry about your knee, but yup, that mental picture is pretty funny! :rotfl2:

Good non-shopping. It all makes sense to me! :thumbsup2

I hope your knee was a momentary pain and did not last.

:lmao: OMG, I am printing this out and framing it!!!!!!
;) Thanks Mo - um... can you tell I work in government?! :rolleyes1

After a nice long nap I called to check on my boys. My mother starts the conversation with “I think Rocky ate a phone number”. HUH? I am picturing a button fell off her phone and he ate it.
:rotfl2: That's exactly what I was picturing as I read this!

And if you are wondering how much more a deluxe room is then a standard, a budget busting $10.00.
SHUT. UP. Really??! That's awesome :thumbsup2

The one girl decides to make me her new BFF and talked my ear off the whole ride over to the POLY and then to MK.
OMG, maybe you got LL's bus friend! :rotfl:

Next up: OOH, what’s that smell? (No, it's not V's next hotel room;) )
HEY - I resemble that comment! :lmao:

I know a lot think this place is stuffy, but I can’t wait to stay there.
I stayed there as a kid when it had just been built and all I remember was thinking how thick the carpets were :rotfl2:

And Ouch! That hurt! :headache: Uh-oh, I did twist it. Well, I am in Disney I am not going to let a silly thing like a twisted knee slow me down!
Ooooh you poor thing

Next up: OOH, what’s that smell? (No, it's not V's next hotel room;) )

Totally loving it - especially your Fuzzy Disney Shopping! :lmao: I've been known to engage in some of that myself!
