I didnt even think of this...

we will be at WDW next week OFFSITE... (wed 16-sat 19) If we are on hand before park opening (like arriving at the gates at 8:30 when a park opens at 9 in non-EMH parks) do you think we will have to deal with parks closing to us?

I doubt you will have a problem. But remember when the park reaches capacity if you are at the entrance where you pay to park and are an off site guest you may be turned away. There are different levels of closing.

We will be riding a hotel shuttle every day except wednesday. (EPCOT day.. we want to leave mid-day and dont want to have to wait for someonelses schedule)

Do you think that will make a difference?

Be early and don't worry about it. There are not 10's of thousands waiting to get in at park opening. The late sleepers off property can spend the day at the pool. :confused3

I'm not certain, but I assume that they turn away the off-site shuttles about the same time they close the parking lots. You should only have a problem on your MK day(s). Perhaps you can pick the brain of your shuttle driver on your first day there about when they are turned away from the MK. You can plan from there. Good luck!

Just make sure that your shuttle leaves early enough for you to get there at 8:30. You also might consider going to the park that had EMH the day before. It tends to be less crowded. Have the parks closed to capacity recently? I can see it being a problem at Easter, but I don't think it would before then.

One more thing ... since it seems that you will have a car, I would drive to the MK instead of taking the off-site shuttle. I'm not sure which hotel you are staying at, but many of the shuttles make many stops. You may be on the shuttle much longer than anticipated and you still get dropped off at the TTC and not at the park gates like the onsite guests.

The parks usually only close to capacity on holidays. Christmas, New Years Eve, Easter, July 4th and *maybe* Thanksgiving & Halloween.

You should be fine. Get there early and be flexible. If one park is closed to capacity (which I doubt very much it will be), you can always go over to one of the other parks. :)
