A Little Perspective on Rates.....

I have booked our first family trip to WDW. I got a lot of information here on rates, and I must admit I had sticker shock when I priced our package. I ended up booking 8 nights/7days at the contemporary, 12th floor, park hopper option with dining for a family of 5. The final price tag was a little over $6,000.00. In the end I considered several options and decided to spend some extra for what I think will be a lot of convenience. This weekend I was talking with my sister, who is a good bit older than me, about a family trip they 20 years ago. She also had 2 adults and 3 children, stayed at the contemporary, and only had MK and Epcot to do. That trip cost them around $5,000.00. I guess in the grand scheme of things, that is not much of an increase over a 20 year period.
