A little off topic but....

My wife has a peanut allergy and my son is allergic to gluten, dairy, peanuts, and eggs and we never go out to eat anywhere except when we go down to DW. While we love going to the World every year I was wondering if anyone knows any other vacation destination that is as wonderful as DW for food allergies. I know Disney sets that bar pretty high and I guess that is why we end up going year after year. TIA

I always stress so much over the idea of going elsewhere because of food allergies. Next summer we'll be heading out to the LA metro and while I know the few days we spend at DLR will be fine, I'm stressed about the rest already. I'm figuring we'll be better off renting a house or condo rather than a hotel room so I can cook some of our meals and then I'll just focus on researching which restaurants in the area (there are always some in major cities) can accomodate us for the rest of the meals. So basically, I'm not offering any good advice. LOL In a nutshell, my plan is to just choose a major city to visit and then research what restaurants are available and make sure I've got a kitchen to help cut down on how many meals we need to eat out.

A friend of mine is a cook for Outback Steakhouse and they make almost everything fresh. They are very good about allergies, and keeping things cooked/prepared in separate and sterilized areas if you let the server know your allergies. I would suggest researching restaurants where things are prepared fresh rather than frozen.
