I am soo excited for liftoff!

All Discovery crew members now are on board and the space shuttle's hatch is closed. Officials say all systems look good for launch at 10:39 a.m. ET. A fuel sensor problem that scrubbed the liftoff nearly two weeks ago did not recur today. The forecast looks good with only a 10 percent chance of bad weather at launch time.

Of course it is relavent.....these are our fellow countrymen and women and they deserve for all of us to be excited!!! Plus they are taking off from the area that is home for the Magic and Wonder!!!

I read at another site that someone has friends or relatives onboard the Norwegian Dawn and one of its stops is Port Canaveral (today) and they are going to be able to watch the launch from the ship....very exciting!!!

I am watching it at work via live video streaming at Nasa.gov. So very cool and I feel so proud. Godspeed to the crew.

On Track for Today's Launch!

Space Shuttle Discovery is ready for liftoff atop Launch Pad 39B. Approximately 500,000 gallons of liquid oxygen and hydrogen now fill the vehicle's orange External Tank. The propellants will drive Discovery's three powerful main engines as the Space Shuttle rumbles into orbit. All systems aboard the ship are functioning normally and ready for launch.

I wonder if the Wonder people can see it since today is a sea day?

I thought the Wonder was at CC today, with Wednesday being the sea day. At least thats how it was on our cruise in June.
If the sky is clear enough I wonder if you can see the launch from CC?

Thanks for the link...

you're right, I was thinking about our discussions from the previous launch dates. I forgot to djust for the new date.

SOOO EXCITING!!!
