A little of everything..Universal and IOA report done

Thanks for linking to this thread. I have only had a chance to look at a couple of days but it looks like a good report. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Oooh, thanks. I will have a read tomorrow, bedtime for me now...other than the WDW part, we are doing a lot of the same as you. Looking forward to reading!

Thanks for sharing the report. :thumbsup2

Sorry you had bad dining experiences. NASCAR is usually pretty good but I would have never recommended Circus McGurkus for lunch. Thunder Falls Terrace is much better for counter service at IoA.

Hopefully you will try other places whenever you return. We have a food sticky that gives menus and suggestions that's very helpful.

Again...thanks for sharing.

We've eaten at Thunder Falls Terrace before and it was great. We were just too far away from it when we got hungry. It was just poor planning on my part.

No worries...you can always hit it the next time you visit.

Thanks for the report. Doing our first US/IOA trip next year with no WDW

Nice report, and great pics! I hear what you're saying about some of the fast food places, but heck I say that about taco bell and mcdonalds too, and most any theme park. But the up side is at least Universal has some GREAT restaurants too, next time, make sure you eat at Mythos, awesome restaurant. There is also the one in Harry Potter that is kind of in between fast food and table service that is much better than the low end fast food like Circus McGurkuss cafe. And the onsite hotels have great restaurants everywhere

Just read the Universal/IoA trip report- thanks for providing the links. Spectacular! Great writing and very amusing stories! :goodvibes

I'll have to catch up on the rest of your report when I can- I haven't read about where you stayed, but based on the pictures of the fireworks, and view of ToT at sunset, your location looks awesome!

I love your attempts at bribery to get the kids on the rides. I have one ride junkie, and another who is not. He has been on the Mummy once, which is my favorite ride, but he refused to go again. I was also proud of him for trying Dragon Challenge, but that was definitely one and done for him. He says he will try Hulk and Mummy on our upcoming trip. We'll see. But there will be no promise of a puppy in his future, either! :rotfl:

The descriptions of your MIB-loving mom are great! I also enjoyed reading about your near-confrontation at ET (of all places). Glad it didn't come to blows.

Thanks for the fantastic read!
